So it's been a few months, but I figured this might be a good place for us to keep track of each other.
So who's gotten the Covid Vaccine?
I got the Johnson & Johnson 1-shot vaccine today, so in six weeks I'm clear.
Where are you all standing at?

Uni and my roommates got their first shot today, another in 3 weeks. Uni and my appointment is this upcoming Sunday for shot 1 and then 3 weeks for another.

My mom and girlfriend got two dose versions. My mom works with the elderly, and my girlfriend works for a veterinarian, so they were both in earlier phases. Maryland just opened the vaccine to everybody this week. My manager got in line for walk ups at a mass vaccination site at like 7am and was able to get the J&J version. I'm gonna try to get an appointment.
Also, my girlfriend's godfather died yesterday of COVID. It really sucks to lose somebody this close to it being over.

My wife got vaccinated in February as a medical worker. My wife's elderly parents, her sister (who has been getting cancer treatments) and my older sister are all vaccinated. They just opened up to my age group so I put myself on the waiting list.

There is a drive through Moderna vaccine clinic locally on Tuesday I am going to take my dad and grandmother there. I found out I'm also eligible here in Arkansas so I'll be getting one too.
Truth be told, hearing the side effects scares the shit out of me. But I know I need to get one to continue to be able to help my dad and grandmother since they can't really do much anymore. Also my brother's father in law passed away from Covid along with a family friend about 3 months ago. Side effects might make me leery but it's better than risking the alternative.

The side effects are mild. Unless you're like that rare example, you'll be laid up for a day and that's it. More of an annoyance than illness. At 8am this morning, I was running a slight fever, feeling tired and lethargic and had a headache. Now a 8pm, I just have a headache. (And it's getting better.)

My manager said she had like very mild cold symptoms, and her husband had no issues at all.

Haven't gotten mine yet, in the process of trying to get an appointment. But my grandparents and mom are fully vaccinated, so that's a big plus.

Got the J&J vaccine. No side effects that I've noticed.
