It would've been smarter for him to play the infection to his advantage and either go for sympathy, or project a greater understanding. But he's a moron, so he goes for a joy ride with his secret service escorts, refuses to wear a mask as he comes back to the White House, and keeps acting like it's no biggie. So, while this might have worked in his favor... he's actually lost even more in the polls since then. And unlike Hillary who was going in with a marginal lead in national polls, but shaky ground in vital battlegrounds, Biden has clear paths to victory: www.realclearpolitics.com/elections/trump-vs-biden-top-battleground-states/And this needs to be a blow out victory, because he's going to try to play around the edges claiming election fraud, and we can't have another Bush/Gore situation. Not with this guy, not with him owning the Supreme Court.

Part of me hopes Donny sticks it out...that he continues thinking he can win. Then when he loses in a landslide, with no evidence of foul play, he has no choice but to concede, admit defeat, and come the transition of power to a new President, he's immediately arrested, found guilty, and all his money and resources go to either pay his debts or fix some of the damage he's done here.
BUT...he's already planted the seeds of doubt in his supporters (some of whom are apparently bold enough to plan kidnapping MI's governor, for crying out loud) that his loss could only be the result of "Them" cheating, so it probably won't be that simple. I honestly don't see his losing resulting in a second Civil War, but I'm concerned it's not going to be quiet and dignified on his/his constituents' part, either.

Yeah. I don’t think he’ll ever admit that he lost. He might leave on his own, but he’ll rant for the rest of his life that it was stolen from him. And Pelosi did bust out a bill today regarding the 25th amendment, but it’s sure to die almost immediately in the senate & only pertained to future president. It was more just to make a statement that we all know Trump’s mental state is deteriorating fast.
November 3rd can’t get here quick enough.

Resigning and getting pardoned by the VP is the straight up Nixon move. If he's smart, that's what he'd do. But he's an idiot, and a self deluded egomaniac, so you can never tell what he's going to do.

That’s ok. Pence can only pardon him for federal crimes. He can’t make the pile of lawsuits New York has waiting for him disappear.
*edit* I really gotta hop on a laptop and get a proper avatar.

my biggest fear is the fact that even if the Mango Overlord does lose the election in a fashion he can't contest, he's going to be a lame duck president for a few months.
His bloated ego and childlike temper tantrums could cause some MAJOR disasters that could take years to fix. And he's petty and vindictive enough to do exactly that.

Let's not forget him pretty much dictating to every Right Wing piece of crap to start committing acts of terrorism like what happened in Michigan this week with the plot to kidnap and murder the Governor. Even if Biden wins, it's gonna be a shitstorm for decades.

Yeah. Those last few months are sure to suck no matter what. When he loses, I imagine he’ll go into full-on raving lunatic mode. But I also know that Biden’s transition team has been preparing for a lot of “what if” nightmare scenarios to deal with Trump. I’m sure one of those scenarios involves Trump trying to start a civil war.
And without the military behind him, his little uprising won’t get very far.

So, I've been looking on Indeed for local jobs, because I need a source of income, even though I hate people and everything I see makes me have...unpleasant thoughts, let's say. However, with WI spiking in COVID-19 lately, and the cold weather apparently poised to make things worse I'm more reluctant to go out and mingle among people who may be asymptomatic, or are assholes that think being assholes will fend the virus off.
Far worse is than that, however, is that my eldest niece came into contact with someone with the virus, and is quarantining (same goes for a cousin of mine, actually). She's not shown any symptoms so far and will be getting tested tomorrow. God bless her, she's more concerned that she'll miss school, because she enjoys it there. I'm hoping for the best, but this whole damn year and that rotund antichrist in the Oval Office has not been making it easy.
ADDENDUM: Both my niece and brother-in-law (who's immuno-compromised) got rapid-tests done, and they came back negative.
