Latest from Arkansas is 508 confirmed, 7 deaths, 32 recovered. Have a feeling that confirmed number is probably higher but the state hasn't been able to test as many as they promised due to being short a part of the testing kits.
My county just confirmed it's fifth case today.

Our governor Hogan is one of the few Republican governors with a spine apparently, since he publicly called out Trump's lies about the availability of testing supplies.
Unfortunately, the orangutan in chief thinks this is all about him and is giving preferential treatment to states whose governors he likes. He thought a meeting with state governors regarding distribution of supplies was to "thank him" for whatever it is he thinks he's done.

Our governor Hogan is one of the few Republican governors with a spine apparently, since he publicly called out Trump's lies about the availability of testing supplies. Those are pretty rare. The Backfire Effect is a bitch. Here this asshole is, trying to pretend he never said the virus was a hoax, or that he downplayed its severity. When he's confronted by reality, he verbally assaults and slanders reporters. He's denying ventilators because he "doesn't think the hospitals need them" (and one of the states with a Dem governor that "doesn't appreciate him enough" happens to be where much of my family, on both sides, live). His b.s. about chloroquine got someone killed. He's saying that if we lose 100,000 people, he thinks "they've done a good job", which is basically prepping people's minds for the idea that the deaths he could've prevented by being more competent in the first place are acceptable losses, all in the name of his ego. And his supporters refuse to accept that he's not our new lord and savior, or that he's ever been wrong, or that he's ever lied. It's infuriating. I understand how he conned people, and I don't think that insulting his supporters is going to help anything...but it's damned infuriating.

My little sister is so quick to play devil’s advocate for Trump & make excuses for him & blame the media & reporters cuz they all obviously have it out for him.
Meanwhile, she sends me links about sexual accusations made against Biden 30 years ago with no evidence or anything to support them. Must be true!! Or at least very concerning & we shouldn’t vote for him cuz what if it’s true?!
But Trump withholding medical supplies until the governors praise him??? She won’t believe it until there’s rock hard evidence!

Trump's got nearly four dozen sexual accusations against him. That's not including the fact that his first wife told police he forced himself on her, but walked the statement back. And heck, Cracked just posted an article that included a story about Trump's time as a slumlord in the 80's, cutting off utilities and using hired goons to force an old woman out of her apartment.
I doubt anyone in politics or business is as innocent as Trump pretends himself to be.

Deadly pandemic, economic crisis...glad to see we’re not loosing sight of the fact that the real enemy here is always going to be other Americans.

I'm personally waiting to have him declare that Bidens were responsible for this.
I gotta admit, global pandemic was NOT on my Bingo card here.

Well, he's been passing blame to Obama for one reason or another, and otherwise avoiding accountability for his/administration's action. That's either close enough (remember, he's a LAZY one), or he hasn't yet thought of how to pin something on Biden.
Meanwhile, poor ol' Bernie is alone without a single false accusation. It's sad, really. You can almost hear the Sarah McClochlan music.

a patient died at my grandmothers' nursing home of the virus, so we pulled her out. she's staying with my parents.
all 3 would qualify as "immunocompromised." No test results so far.
god i'm scared. I don't know how to handle this...

My aunt runs a home care business (my mom has actually been working for her). Through that, we heard about an outbreak in one of the nursing homes they're affiliated with.
Makes my blood run cold thinking about shit bags like Glenn Beck saying we should just sacrifice the old and vulnerable for the sake of the economy.
