Still working over here. I do work for a medical device manufacturer, so that gets me around the “Work from home if you’re able” executive order our city is under. It’s not stopping our dipshit mayor from threatening to condemn business that defy the order. They used that tactic to close the adult “arcades” they couldn’t manage to legislate out of existence several weeks ago, and here it is again. I know people are scared and things need to be done to secure the public welfare, but if we’re not careful it’s crap like that that will spiral out of control. It’ll reach an apex and settle back down for the most part, but not fully, and once this is all over we’ll have had our rights seriously eroded and nobody will notice much compared to what we just went through. Rant over So yeah, just doing my best to stay safe, healthy, and find a calm center between the hordes of “Nothing to be worried about, everything is fine!” and “OMG, we’re all going to die!”

Just got approval today that I'll be off through next Wednesday in order to clean an out of the way and paper free area and to set up a hardwired internet connection so I can transition to work at home which is a big relief. Just in time too. Arkansas recorded its first two Corona deaths and cases jumped to 280.

Ops and I are doing pretty good. We already had the work from home gig set up, though amusing our job is technical support for other work from home employees, which is understandably exploded in the last week or two. Keeping us busy. We stocked up really well before everything went to stay from home here, so we have food. Also, we try to support some of the local places through take-out or delivery when able, just to help. If we do need to go to a grocery store, there's a number near where we live so not everyone's been going to the same store and it's been keeping them pretty well stocked too. Our county went up from 29 to 38 to 54 known cases the last 3 days, so it's likely to get worse pretty soon before it starts recovering. Especially if they ramp up testing more individuals. At this point it's stay home and see how things shake out. Good thing we're already used to staying at home

We're at 113 cases here. We're settled in, and we're just trying to stay the fuck away from everyone right now.

We're up to 165 cases in RI. The governor is letting essential stores remain open so as not to cripple the economy with the caveat that they limit the number of people in the building and make sure everyone is 6 feet apart. Most stores have lines taped off for people waiting in line and "line police", employees stationed at the registers to make sure people are obeying the rules. The problem we're seeing now is an influx of people trying to escape New York by coming to stay in their summer homes in coastal towns. Since NY is the worst hit, our people are getting nervous that it will spread here. The governor now has the national guard stationed at bus and train stations to make sure anyone coming from NY to stay here is quarantining for 2 weeks. We also have state police stopping cars with NY plates at the borders. I only go the store when we need something (today it was dog food) and when I do go out, I look like this. Yes, that mask is custom. I have several.

Glad you and OM are doing ok Uni and glad to hear everyone here is doing ok thus far. As of today, Arkansas is up to 349 confirmed cases, 3 deaths, and 19 recovered.
Had to pick up some stuff at Wal-Mart so I decided to try their grocery app and pick up. Pretty happy with the experience and will be using it more until this blows over.

MI's case numbers are climbing every day. and i'm apparently in the epicenter; the largest number of deaths to date have been in the counties surrounding me.
I'm still considered "essential" because the company I work for produces labels for food products; its apparently "key to the supply chain."
But on the upside, i guess we finally stopped school shootings.

In the state of Pennsylvania, the number is at 3,394, and in my county here, it's jumped from that 113 number I gave on Thursday to 265.
On the bright side of the news, I made a NSFW Twitter account.

Pennsylvania's orders have been expanded to the end of April. Good news though is according to the math? It's working!
We just gotta keep going.
