I made an attempt to get a PS5 when the preorders first went live, but haven't been beating myself up over not having one. Would it have been nice to play AC: Valhalla on the PS5? I guess? These machines are at a point where it's getting hard for me to see the difference though.

I'm honestly expecting I'll get one when they launch FFXVI and bundle it with one like they did XV. A game I actually want that's likely a ways down the line when the supply issues aren't as bad.

Except apparently Square Enix *is* that ass backwards.
Well, guess I'll get it whenever they put out something that's actually substantial for the PS5 then. Maybe they'll bundle it with Remake Part 2 when it comes out.

Welp, guess I need to start looking for a PS5. Also, this all but confirms my theory that the region underneath Sector 7 where you fight the Behemoth is indeed Deepground. Also if no one's seen Ever Crisis yet that game looks an awful lot like the "remake the original game but with better graphics" request lots of people had. Shame it's for phone only, though I suspect this is much like FFXV Pocket Edition, and will probably see a console (maybe Switch only?) version eventually. Either way Squeenix will be getting an awful lot more of my money for yet more versions of this game.

The Ever Crisis one definitely did look like that to me. I think XV Pocket came out on Steam eventually, plus EC does have all the Compilation games too, so if someone wanted to run through Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus for more lore, they're more easily accessible. Have to wonder if the other Tsviets will be as ridonkulous design wise as they were in Dirge, though.

Crisis Core was a pretty decent game and deserves to not be buried along with the PSP. Especially given that Zack seems to have (maybe? sort of?) survived in Remake. He's also on top of the train in Ever Crisis(!), seemingly aping Cloud's escape scene. Very curious what that's all about so I'm glad to see it getting some love. Likewise, it'll be nice to FINALLY get to experience Before. DoC was an incredibly mediocre game (it is the meh-est of 3rd person shooters, before the Gears of War insired "cover shooter" standard, and lacking any sort of hook or mechanic to really make it fun) , but the lore was interesting, so if they bring it into a new game/battle engine, that'd be a good thing.

I would love to have an opinion on Intergrade, but a PS5 continues to elude me and I refuse to pay more than retail for one.

I'm starting to think I'll get a PS5 when they create a bundle with FFVII-R Part 2. Honestly, same! In fairness, FFVII is really the only game I actually WANT to play on it right now and given I've experienced both the majority of the remake content, and obviously the original game many (many, many) times over, I'm in no great rush anyways. Everything else that looks interesting (the Dark Souls remake, Spider-Man Miles Morales, and a small handful of others) are very much in my "I'll play'em when I get to 'em" pile, so yeah, fuck the scalpers. When supply catches up, or if I just dumb luck into one like I did during the Wii demand days or the Switch launch, i'll grab one.

So far, the ones that have my attention are Integrade, Remake Part 2, FFXVI, and down at the bottom the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel once I get around to beating the first one. By the same token, the X-Cube doesn't really have that many exclusives I can even remember, so points to the Nintendo for having IPs that actually interest me, I guess?
