The Dreamcast I am still bitter about being killed too soon. Great machine with some awesome games. As for the Genny, yeah, I know I'd regret it if I didn't get it (I'm still annoyed I never scored a cheap PS1 mini, and that one sucked  ) and I can justify splurging on it, so eh, might as well. |

I think the PS classic was the one I just couldn't say yes to. I didn't like the game line up that much and I also heard some issues with it. Last time I saw it in person at Wal-Mart, it was down to $49 but I just couldn't do it. That being said, I would be willing to give them another chance if they are willing to do any other PS classics but after the abysmal sales of the PS1 classic, that is probably a hard no. |

Oh yeah, the system was trash, the game selection was awful, and the emulation was garbage (most of them were the inferior 50Hz PAL versions of the games). I refused to spend more than 30 bucks on it, but I just wanted one purely for collection's sake. If they gave us a GOOD one, I'd be willing to pay actual price for, but I agree, it seems unlikely they'd try again.

Is the Japanese version of the MD2 also dropping on 10/27? I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk or early reviews unless Im overlooking them.

Apparently the PS Classic isn't a bad little device, if you hack it and load a bunch of your own shit on there. I got one on clearance for like $20 on Amazon, and have yet to plug it in.

Yeah, that was exactly my plan, but I couldn't find one for cheap. By the time I realized they hit clearance, they were gone. Ah well 'Bun, as for the MDII, I dunno. Been almost radio silent on this thing, I forgot it was shipping soon til I signed into my Amazon account for something unrelated the other day and was like "Oh right, I forgot about that" |

The SMS was the first console that was my own (my dad had an Atari 2600), and I'll forever have a soft spot for it for that, and the fact it was the home of the original Phantasy Star. From a technical standpoint it runs circles around the NES but its library is small and there's a decent bit of mediocrity in it, though it has a few real gems as well. A DC is much more likely, but I want the SMS more.

Looks like I missed the window to get a Mini 2. I got a late Christmas bonus and went to Amazon and looks like all that is left is one 3P seller selling it at $250 each. But while I hate I missed it, I'm not too torn up about not getting one. Half of those games I probably wouldn't have touched anyway. |

Yeah I've been so sucked into Tactics Ogre I haven't really messed with mine much, but half the allure of them for me is the collectible-ness of it so I'm not shocked it's gone that route. Definitely not worth 250. |

Definitely not worth 250. In all honestly, I haven't touched my NES, SNES, or Genesis Mini 1 in months. But I'm glad I have them whenever I get an itch or time to play a vintage game. But that is also probably another reason why I'm not too torn up over not getting the Genesis Mini 2. But on the flip side, it does kinda suck not having plug in play access to Sonic CD, Final Fight CD, or Shadow Dancer. |
