The Dreamcast was a gem with some genuinely amazing titles. Most of them saw ports to other systems, but I'm still salty all these years later that it didn't get the life it deserved (which was Sega's own fault from the debacle of the Saturn, but still). The Master System I have a deep love for, as it was my first console that was my own (my dad had an Atari), and from a purely technical standpoint it was an incredible machine that ran laps around the NES. In the hands of a developer that actually understood the system it could do some great things. However, it was a commercial flop and doesn't have a huge library, and a lot of that library isn't particularly good.. but there's a small handfuls of really great games for it. For personal childhood nostaliga reasons I would love the shit out of an SMS Mini but realist me knows a DC Mini is a better idea by far.

I would probably buy a Master System Mini IF they did one. I haven't said no to any nostalgic mini console except for the Playstation Classic. That line up was garbage.

Yeah, the PS1 is one of my favorite systems of all time and has pound for pound, one of the best libraries ever. That thing was such a disaster I couldn't bring myself to buy it unless I saw one at dirt cheap clearance, which I never did, so I don't own one. Not only was the games list inexcusably bad, most of them were the inferior UK/Scart/50hz versions and thus crap to play on top of it.

The local Wal-Mart had them down to $30 and I still couldn't pull the trigger. It reminded me of the 32X being down to $20 at K-B toys and I don't think it was out a year and they still couldnt get rid of them.

I've been kicking myself for not grabbing a $20 32X at Toys R Us for 25 years. I never saw the PS1 classic for under 50. 30 I probably would have caved, but I'm not overly broken up about it.

I figure if there is a Sega Genesis Mini 3, they might decide to add 32X and Sega CD+32X games to the mix. They do have the Genesis 3 model they can miniaturize as well.

I'd be game for that, though the irony of the original Genesis 3 being incompatible with the addons would make that extra great.

iunderstoodthatreference.jpg There's a whole market of offbeat Sega hardware I'd buy mini versions of.. give me a HiSaturn and a NOMAD while we're at it.

I didn't understand the reference. But yea a Neptune mini would make more sense for a 32X themed Genesis Mini more than the Genesis 3. And hell yea I would buy a Nomad Classic in a heartbeat. I don't care if I already have the games on one of the Genesis Minis. I'm a sucker for portable gaming. Hell I would take a Game Gear Classic but I don't really remember many good games on that system. Granted I only had a few because I didn't get my original GG until almost the end of it's shelf life.
