I'd be a lot more hyped over Sonic CD if they hadn't re-released/sorta remade it for PS3/XB360 arcade years ago, so I got to replay it back then. IMO it really didn't hold up as well as Sonic 2 and 3&K.
Don't recall ever playing the CD JP game.. the Genesis one was pretty decent, though also quite hard, but agreed that's probably the one they'd go with if it's on there.

I didn't get a chance at the Sonic CD repack since I dont have s PS3/360. Only repack I got to play was a phone app version which sucked. But yea Sonic CD wasn't a good as Sonic 2 but CD has some awesome music. You are not missing much on JP CD. It was pretty much a point, click, and go type of game. It did have some very limited 3P shooter moments as well.

True, CD did have some great tunes, and I did like the different versions of the stages. It just felt.. weirdly unpolished on my replay. Like not a bad game, just a little rough at some points. And yeah, JPCD doesn't sound like I missed much. I fuckin hated those bloody point and click adventures. The Sherlock Holmes one that came with my Sega CD I couldn't even goddamn figure out how to play.

It was basically watching an actual episode of the show and having to hit the correct buttons popping up on screen. It was Dragon's Lair but it 100% sucked and was the laziest attempt at a game ever.

Yeah, those FMV games were all pretty terrible. "Here's all this extra space CD-ROMs provide. We can make games literally 50+ times bigger than they were on Genesis carts!
...on second thought, lets fill the disc space with horribly compressed, grain as shit 160i resolution video clips so muddy you can't figure out wtf is going on half the time!"

That last line brings Sewer Shark to mind for some reason. But yea the videos sucked back then. One FMV game though that gets a pass from me is Mad Dog Mcree. But I don't see them including it and it would suck not having a zapper of some kind. I wonder if they are going to try to jam some 32x games onto this as well. Granted I only played two 32x games which was Star Wars (meh) and Primal Rage (which was pretty awesome).

I kinda liked Sewer Shark, it was the gaming equivalent of the "so bad it's good" movie. But yeah, the gun games suck without a gun and they don't work on modern TVs, so that won't happen. I liked that Star Wars game, primarily because though it's limited by the 32x hardware, it's the only home version of the (better) arcade game. But yeah, it's not exactly anything incredible. I can't think of any 32x game that's really a "must play". Decent versions of Doom and NBA Jam but nothing really wowing.

I've heard some people say it's a hidden gem and considering Knuckles is already owned by SEGA wouldn't be too hard for it to be included. One other 32X game that I friend of mine told me about is Spider-Man Web of Fire. It came out right toward the end of the 32X and is apparently rather rare going for $100+ on eBay. I had never even heard of this Spider-Man game and I looked up some video online. It doesn't look like anything ground breaking but it looks a little better than some other Webs of Crap Spidey games I've played.

Yeah, Chaotix wasn't bad.. it's not anywhere near as good as the Sonic 2 or 3&K but it was pretty good. I actually had to look up that Spiderman game, not sure I knew it existed. But it was done by BlueSky, who had some REALLY good sidescrollers in the Vectorman games and also did Genesis JP and Genesis Shadowrun, both pretty good games, so it sounds like it could be pretty good. But I think I'd rather have the Genesis (or Sega CD) versions of Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin, which was a REALLY good game.

Either version (but those God awful cut scenes in the CD version were hilariously bad ). I also wouldn't mind Maximum Carnage just for some mindless beat em up action. One other licensed game I'd love to see is Robocop vs. Terminator. The SNES version sucked but the Genesis version was for superior.
