most recent iterations of Bludgeon where the Pretender form IS the main robot with a pretty cleverly engineered alt mode built in and nix the inner robot form all together. IMO this is the way to do it. Lets face it, most of those inner robots were fairly generic looking and turned into.. a..er.. something that resembled a folded up robot and maybe kinda sorta a futuristic flying car or something if you squinted. The personality/looks were in the shells. Give them a real alt mode and base the robot off the shell and you could get some cool figures.

I also wish they would do something similar with any possible Dinoking release. I know the POTP Dinobots were not the most stable of combiners but I would buy a remold of this set into Dinoking in a heart beat. I would much rather see the dino modes as the true alt mode for these guys instead of just using the inner robot "monster alt modes" from Monstructor. They would just have to get creative with Gairyu since there isn't a current combinable Ankylosaur unless Hasbro does some of their creative remolding they have been known to do from time to time.

news.tfw2005.com/2022/07/21/transformers-legacy-a-hero-is-born-alpha-trion-orion-pax-2-pack-official-images-461270news.tfw2005.com/2022/07/21/san-diego-comic-con-2022-transformers-reveal-panel-461255Skullgrin, Pointblank, Crankcase, Dead End, Armadascream, Inferno, and TM2 Megatron officially revealed, along with a Legacy 2 Pack of SS Kup and Scourge retooled as Orion Pax and Alpha Trion. Skullgrin looks great, and I'm looking forward to his alt mode. "Blanker" and Crankcase are pretty accurate and look fun. Dead End is as G1 as his fellow Stunticons, Armadascream and Inferno are as good as they looked in the other reveals, and TM2 Megatron is...like, CGI show accurate. I want to see his alt mode and how they pulled THAT off. Also, the Orion Pax and Alpha Trion 2-pack is honestly kind of inspired. I'll have to get that. EDIT: Apparently Orion and Alpha Trion is the SDCC exclusive and will be on Hasbro Pulse

Orion still comes with Kup's energon dispenser... wallet? Guess Hot Rod wasn't the first future Prime to learn "Bah weep gragnah weep ninibon"
TM2 Megs I'm glad they managed to break up the red, the original toy looked pretty blah. Do need to see the dragon mode though.

Skullgrin's vehicle mode reminds me of the one Autobot clone that turns into a car, and now I can't unsee it.
TM2 Megs though, damn. We got effect parts up in here.

I dig him. I do hope there's a planned retool to give him the Beast Machines helm and the fold around wings.

As much as I'd like to give you shit for being the guy who'd ask for a Beast Machines retool, that would be pretty dope.
