When you have a toddler & a baby, you end up watching some stuff you never thought you could tolerate. So Word Party is a cute enough Jim Henson show on Netflix. Just right for my kid’s age. It’s teaches words & stuff. It’s all very cutesy & friendly & as an adult, it doesn’t drive me crazy. So that’s all good. BUT... Bailey the elephant... I don’t know what it is about that character, but he annoys the hell out of both me & my wife. On the official website it describes him as the heart of the group, the empathetic one. But whatever he was originally envisioned as, the writers unwittingly made him into the wet blanket of the group. He’s the one that most often doesn’t want to play, that tells the others what they can’t pretend to be or do, that just wants to be left alone alone under his tree where he can read his snail books alone & sing about the applesauce sky. The applesauce sky. Ugh!! We’ve never hated a baby animal this much! *this is all in jest of course, but man that elephant grinds on our nerves! *

Kinda love Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir right now too. It’s like Spider-Man crossed with Sailor Moon & given a French twist. It’s fun & endearing.
