Yeah, I watched that at work yesterday, and I caused myself real and actual pain in my attempts to not guffaw like an idiot at that last sequence.
This trailer did give me a little more assurance as to this movie. There is a REAL danger of falling into too many jokes and references that are funny right this second but won't be in two years with it being about the Internet and all, but I think they're on the right track.

The part with Ralph being harassed by the street vendor pop-up ads got me One thing I noticed in the trailer is I'm not so sure it takes place in the *CURRENT* day - the computer they were hooking that wifi up to was unmistakably an iMac, right down to the candy colored shell and the old MacOS. Puts it around dawn of broadband/wifi era, so 2000ish. Granted, there's also a tablet later on which is clearly much more modern, somaybe the computer's just a nod to the whole arcade being a relic, unless they're lost in the internet for a very long time. Maybe Ralph's a MAME ROM now?

... This feels more like ReBoot than the ReBoot reboot.

I'm ready for this movie. It's been a long time since this has happened, but that scene with the bunny and the pancakes and the girl's reaction in the real world made me laugh so hard I nearly choked on the Pepsi I was drinking.
