Saw the movie FINALLY! today. Really liked it. Only time the special effects bugged me were a couple of the backgrounds looking like obvious green screens or matte paintings, the rest seemed "believable" enough. I too dug that they didn't pull any punches and Killmonger was a villain with a point. The other death bummed me out a bit but it also fit the story.
As for Vibranium... it's pretty clear that meteor hit as a solid piece as metallic (iron) meteors tend to do - Shuri's underground lab is inside the meteorite, they're just chopping chunks of it off and building into it. I suspect very little of it traveled outside that given vibranium's qualities. I am curious if they'll ever acknowledge that thing was an extinction level event and/or where it came from though (money's on it being a chunk of Celestial like Knowhere). As for where Howard got the stuff from the shield, he's a world traveling playboy who's known to skirt the law a bit while doing the right thing, seems pretty believable to me he could have acquired it through a legitimate secret trade (tech or other help) with T'challa's grandfather/great grandfather, especially given that Germany was in North Africa at the time, obsessed with occult artifacts and legends, and yanno, the whole Hydra thing. Stark asking for a sample claiming it'll help prevent the outside world's war getting to their borders makes sense to me.
