Saw this sitting on Netflix this morning. I thought this was supposed to be Reboot, not Code Lyoko.
Also, this is like every Hollywood movie where the white man comes in to save the native Americans from other white dudes. Except this time it’s users saving the mainframe from other evil users.
It misses the whole premise of the original, where the users were the antagonists & the programs had to fend them off. How does a reboot stray this far from the source material?

I mean... how threatening is a virus from the 90's anyway? Megabyte probably spread by infecting floppy disks.

Well, if I remember correctly... When I think it was Windows 8 or something that came out, there was a problem that it was susceptible to a virus from Windows 3.1, because the Operating system had changed so much, it was almost nothing like the original. The virus wasn't a threat at all, but it was still there. But yeah, your point it very valid.

So has anyone watched this thing? I can’t muster even morbid curiosity to check it out.

Me either. If I was going to take the time to do that, I'd rather spend it rewatching the original. Haven't seen it since it was on Toonami.

Woolie Madden (Yes, that is his real name) of Super Best Friends Play and giant Canadian Reboot fan has this to say.
