So this came out and I've caught the first two episodes.
I really do like the Fennec and Boba interactions (him being confused that the Mayor isn't giving tribute and wants HIM to pay, Shand complaining about how a band of assassins are overpriced and you're paying for the name). Also, Fett was really sort of permanently stoic in the Mandalorian, but it's fun to see little things tend to get him emoting more when he's outside of the suit, or even stuff like him using the helmet in the throne room scene to hide the fact that his reactions to the visitors.
The first two episodes do also cover getting out of the Sarlacc and the followup is a nice little mini-arc. It'll be interesting to see the present arc start expanding, and the Twins are already interesting antagonists, along with Black K as their enforcer from the comics. Dr. Aphra is apparently set to appear to, so that likely won't be a one and done reference. Also continuing the general expanding on the Tuskens from The Mandalorian, with the characters getting some rather humorous bits during the training montage (and the chief's second in command/wife(?) kicking significant amounts of ass over even Fett during the train job).
Overall, I'm enjoying this a lot and seeing where it'll go.

I'm digging it too. I had heard that Robert Rodriguez came in under budget and with plenty of time to be flexible with post production. (Which is his usual method.) And seeing the show now, I see how. It's a less "galactic" and a more personal scale story. Also one thing I'm loving is that it's including all these Easter Eggs to other Star Wars stories... WITHOUT being blunt about it.
In that last episode, Boba went after the bikers at a bar to steal their bikes. And that's that and all you really needed to know. They didn't dwell upon it, like lingering the camera on them or anything like that. But upon seeing the name of the people in the bar in the credits and seeing two of them as 'Camie & Fixer' I realized that those were Luke and Biggs' friends and that was fucking Tosche Station. (Later confirmed by looking at the deleted scene for A New Hope on Disney+.) That didn't need to be there. But it was. And it wasn't distracting. Hell, the stormtrooper in the Sarlacc in Episode one was from a Mos Eisley Cantina short story.
It's been a long time since I've seen a show make those fun nods and homages to other stories without being overbearing about it... And it being fucking STAR WARS of all things. That's really kinda a neat thing they did there.

So Ep 5 came out and was technically more an episode of The Mandalorian running in the timeslot, even if it's setting up for Din to get involved in Boba's ongoing fight. That said, lots of callbacks, and the shots of the Purge of Mandalore had me going "oh right, TIE Bombers are actually BOMBERS". Most of the time we see Star Destroyer bombardment being used, but the carpet-nuking of Mandalore is a hell of a visual.
Also, I really like Din's new ride. The design was never a problem, but the paint was a bit garish. Being proper chrome fits the design ancestry and fits with Din's overall look.

And show's over.
My (baseless) theory on why Boba Fett ended up the way it did: It's like the upcoming Kenobi series. It was meant to be a movie, until Solo's poor performance scrapped it. So the story got turned into a series. But There wasn't enough to fill seven episodes... Just four. So that's why there was two Mandalorian episodes mixed in there, along with a lot of HEAVY exposition. You could easily edit that series down to a 2½ hour movie. Nothing got cut.
And I suspect that the Kenobi show will possibly suffer from the similar flaws as well.
Now I DID enjoy the show a great deal. But I AM aware of it's flaws. (Even the Mods biker gang. I thought Drash and Skad are kinda hot.) Though it was fun seeing people not fully understanding what an utter badass Black Krrsantan is supposed to be, because they never read the comics. (They would lose their shit over Triple Zero and BT-1. I'm hoping crazy chaotic Doctor Aphra makes the jump to live action someday.)
