Dude backed the Rancor?
Seriously, that is impressive but $350 would be just a tad out of my price range even if I was a Star Wars collector. But yea, it will probably fund. It's already over 2,000 with a goal of 9,000. Even if it doesn't, I'm sure Hasbro would push back the deadline like they did with Unicron.
But since Haslab started, if I remember right, only one thing failed to fund and that was the big cookie monster right?

Yeah, which is a bit niche even by Haslab standards.

So apparently this didn't go through, possibly because Hasbro had it running at the same time as the Proton Pack they were also releasing. Or Star Wars fans already had a Rancor from the other few times it was released and didn't need this one.

To be fair, this was the first Rancor that was in scale with their 6" Black Series line vs. the previous ones being in 3.75" scale. But yea there were forces already against the Rancor from the start. Like you said, having it, the Proton pack, AND the Sky Striker being live at the same time was poor planning. But having these end at around the same time in the middle of the holiday shopping season was also nuts because that would be around a $1000 being taken out of bank accounts right before Christmas (assuming Rancor did succeed and someone backed all three). But I think the biggest strike against it was the announced stretch goals. Now I don't know much about Star Wars toys to judge too much on the goals but reading the comments I know Hasbro pissed alot of fans off. Especially since the last one was just another Luke Skywalker. I also remember people commenting everywhere how the number of backers were actually going down a pretty good amount due to cancellations right after the stretch goals announcement. But to be honest, I am really surprised Hasbro didn't extend this like they did with Unicron. The final number at the deadline, the Rancor was just around 500 from meeting goal. Unicron was alot further away when its first deadline approached and Hasbro announced its extension.

The Sky Striker I'm salty AF about because I have absolutely zero interest in GI Joe vehicles, but I would GLADLY pay Haslab markup for the classic ARAH O-ring style Cobra Pilot and Snakepit by themselves.

I REALLY wanted to back that Sky Striker. Not so much as a Joe vehicle but I love F-14 Tomcats and the fact it came with so many pieces to make a pretty awesome diorama scene and non-GI Joe F-14 decals made it REALLY tempting. But after backing Victory Saber and being this close to Christmas, I had to decline.
