Looks like some of us are still getting toys and such. How's everyone doing it? I've personally stopped going out specifically for toys, Obviously for safety reasons, but all the specialty shops are closed regardless. There's a super W-M near me that I've been going to once a week for an essentials run, so I check out the toy section while I'm there. Department stores like target are still open. but I'm trying hard to limit exposure so I don't go anyplace I don't have to. Otherwise I've been doing a lot of mail order from Amazon and eBay. Any packages I receive get picked up with gloves and wiped down in the garage before I open them, then I wipe or spray down the contents. I'm still working and still in a good financial position to contribute to the economy, but taking no chances. I placed an order with BBTS at the end of March that is still "processing". Just sent them an e-mail to see if they are having shipping delays due to the situation. So what are you guys doing and where is everyone finding Cyberverse Rack 'n Ruin?

It *was* available on Amazon which is where I got it: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083VLSQRZbut it's currently out of stock. I use some tracking extensions for Chrome like Keepa to get notifications when stuff's back in stock. Also, Hasbro's been doing pre-orders pretty far out ahead of waves coming out, so a lot of them I have orders ready already and just they're due to actually come out like June or something.

I've slowed down my collecting but I do take a peek at the toy section on my now rare trips into the store itself. As as of now, I mainly order online. I got my first two Seacons from Pulse with the next two due in any day now and I finally got a Takara Legends Greatshot at BBTS.
When they arrive, I first quarantine the package in my garage for three days (I think it's said the virus lives 24 hours on cardboard and three days on plastic). After that I wipe them down and open the box outside then I bring them into the house and open the toy box and disenfect it and the toy. I know it's overkill but I'm not taking chances bringing that virus in the house.

I mostly only get the few toys I get from BBTS, and so far they have made no indication of closing down. Businesses doing online commerce are allowed to stay open, but I do hope they are taking appropriate measures with people in their warehouse. If you want anything from Japan, that may be trickier given that Japan Post has shut down international shipping. That seems to mostly affect SAL, but if you get EMS that's not affected so much? HLJ made a handy dandy chart of what they have available to what countries: support.hlj.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000466026I'm mostly just taking in the package, unpacking, discarding the box, then washing my hands. Corona only lives on cardboard for about 24 hours, so it's mostly just the driver you have to worry about. I'm taking similar measures with my Peapod deliveries. Since those groceries were not exposed to the general public, I don't feel a great need to sanitize everything. I just get rid of the shopping bags, then clean my hands and the counter top. Given that I work in security, I'm used to the notion of risk management. You can't eliminate risk, you can only manage it, so I'm taking the steps that seem most effective at reducing my risk and not agonizing over eliminating all the edge cases.

Yeah, I'm mainly ordering from Amazon and Hasbro Pulse. And when a package comes in, I use the Clorox wipes on the outside of them. Not worried about the interiors, as any virus would be gone by then. We do the same for takeout, unless we see the delivery person wearing gloves. (Even then sometimes.)

Take out depends on where you get it too. McDonald's takes your whole order in regular McD's bags, and drinks in a special holder, and encases them in a bigger bag which they then seal shut with stickers. That way, you can just ditch that outer bag, and you're good. Other places you just get normal packaging as if you'd gone to the drive through yourself. One thing I saw pointed out is that the virus doesn't fare well with heat, so given the choice you're safer getting hot food options where it can't live on the food itself.

Right. Apparently the virus is only held together with a very thin membrane of fat, and that's why soap, warm water and really any grease dissolving material will work against it.
The good news is that if we have a fucking hot ass summer like last year, we could see it decrease a lot!

I'm a cold weather creature. I'd ordinarily welcome the cool weather we're having. But this year, yeah. Bring on the heat.
