I know some of you jumped off the Gotham train a while back, but tonight is the series finale if you want to check out where it went. At the end of the penultimate episode last week, Bruce left Gotham to begin his journey of discovery. Tonight's episode jumps forward 10 years as Bruce returns to Gotham.
I haven't cared about the show in a long time, I can't say I've been interested in anything I've heard they did since tuned out, much like Smallville. BUT, I did catch...most of the last half of Smallville's finale, so maybe morbid curiosity will get the best of me. Maybe it'll be something I can vlog about (but I'm 982 subscribers and over 3,000 hours of viewed hours [in the past 12 months] shy of monetizing, so I have to wonder what the point is).
If you want something done, it's going to take time. If you want something done RIGHT, it's going to take longer.
Gotham has long been my "eh, something to watch" show that I DVR and then watch in a batch after I've burned through all the shit I actually care about but need something to watch while I have a late dinner.
I'll get around to seeing this, but I'm not gonna be sorry it's gone.
Seeing Batman appear at the very last second was short and brief. People are complaining that he should have been in the finale more. To be honest, I figured it would be short like Superman's grand appearance in Smallville. But in Smallville, at least, while not close up, it did see the newly costumed Superman save the day one last time before setting up an epilogue. Here we just see Batman standing there then nothing. We all know that he is going to start kicking villian ass but it would be nice to see him start to do that before the end.

It was....meh. I believe they dressed tall, lanky 18-year-old David Mazouz in the suit to represent 28-year-old Batman, and it just didn't look right. He looked like he was cosplaying. They trolled fans by starting the episode with Gordan having a mustache, then he shaved it off after one scene. Jeremiah was the real puzzler. He was looking like a classic Joker earlier in the season, then they made him take the Ace Chemical plunge after the fact. He came out looking like a cross between Heath Ledger's J and Frankenstein. It just didn't work for me. Everything else was sufficiently predictable with with Edward and Oswald turning up the camp to an 11 out of 10.
I'm still kinda pissed that they teased Man-Bat in the season 4 finale yet never followed up on it, instead giving several episodes to the always overrated Bane.
iacon45: I would wait to see if that Netflix Megs goes on sale but I not only need that Megs but Siege Crosshairs needs his Targetmaster

Optimal Megatron: I only got Siege Prime because he was on sale.

Optimal Megatron: I admit Earthrise Prime has some nice stuff, but I just don't feel like paying that much extra for another G1 Prime with a trailer I won't use.

iacon45: About to go that level with Earthrise Prime

Optimal Megatron: After seeing the Rumble/Ratbat set going for $40 before shipping on eBay and no retailers having it in stock, I just bought the Takara one for a slight markup, along with Rung.

iacon45: Looking at that Decepticon Mirage I wish Hasbro would have used the toy accurate head.

Optimal Megatron: Yeah, I pre-ordered Netflix Megatron too. That silver paint job is spiffy.

iacon45: But speaking of Megatron, I'm going to opt for that Netflix Siege Megatron instead. I really love that silver deco look and I actually like his battle scars.

iacon45: Agreed on Smokescreen. I prefer the cybertronian car mode surprisingly. As for E.R. Megatron, that is also a hardpass. I just hope that removing chunks of vehicle mode for big clunky accessories does not become a trend.

Optimal Megatron: Megatron and Smokescreen are hard passes, what with being basically Siege Smokescreen and Megatron with slightly different parts.

Optimal Megatron: So good thing Hasbro's getting some reuse on those toy skeletons

iacon45: Between the new deluxe and reissue Ghostbuster figures, new GI Joe, not to mention Earthrise, Hasbro wants to obliterate my wallet.

Greatshot: Also true.

iacon45: Gameplay, if you could call it that, was definitely garbage but the shrill beeping that would pass as music and SFX made my ears bleed

iacon45: I mainly like it for the novelty of it and the great artwork around the screen.

Greatshot: if I didn't already know it was hot garbage, i would too
