Apparently from the box design, he will indeed be a standard retail release. Which makes sense. We're due for a repaint of the Prime mold. You're right on the Prime repaint being a given. I was hoping someone at Hasbro would have had the same idea I had of remolding him into Thunderclash/Hyperdrive. But for some reason, I was thinking it was said that POTP was going to be a shorter run and it was only going to have three waves with Primal in wave 3 being the final new leader mold. As for regular retail, I'm already not liking my chances of seeing POTP Primal since the local Wally has clearanced out POTP Leaders for $30.

That's one of the frustrating things about this franchise. There's times you're thinking there's an obvious redeco that could be made of a character and then Hasbro doesn't do it. Sky Shadow into Thunderwing for example. Or NuRiD redecos like Soundwave into a Blaster.
The thing is, we don't know when the next line starts. I do think PotP is a shorter wave than before, and thi series does seema lot less... Complete than other waves had. I mean, it's mid April, and with the previous series, we would have been on wave 4 by now, and we're JUST barely scraping into Wave 3. I wonder if the Studio Series line has anything to do with this?
Either way, I still want my damn Seacons.

The thing I take into account is that we know that Hasbro's aware the combiners sell.
Combiner Wars could've justified Abominus and Predaking, but they weren't able to fit in and now they're in PotP. I'm pretty sure that Hasbro will get around to making the Seacons, especially given how well some of the Terrorcons could retool into them.

Honestly, if they got the Duocons out... I'd like them to give a shot at the Multiforce guys soon.

Don't get me wrong, the deluxe TW is ok, but for such an important character, he needed a larger release. Probably wouldve been easy to slightly remold him and give him a Matrix to make it more justifiable to fold him into POTP so fans can reenact the Marvel comics TW story.

Yeah, between the first Wreck-Gar, Scrapheap, the Legends Wreck-Gar and this guy... We could have a pretty decent Junkion set.

POTP Voyager Wave 3 is out now which includes 1 Inferno...and 1 Grimlock. This would be a perfect time for Hasbro to do one of those "revision" waves and swap out Grimlock for Hungrrr to help those who have still not seen any wave 2 Voyagers.

Man, now that Wreckgar looks like that, I'm seriously tempted to pick up that Hot Rod and Junkions set that's on clearance on Amazon to mix him in with. Also, I like Inferno, but he's on my wait-and-see list, rather than making a huge effort to get him.
