Cyberverse Toys RevealedAdditional Cyberverse ImagesBR pointed these out in the shout. To be quite honest, I kinda like some of these. It might be the Geewunner in me, but I like some of these better than some of the NuRID releases. Biggest thing I like is that unlike NuRID, this line actually has a size class for larger scale figures. I think the NuRID line actually suffered a bit without a proper voyager-esque size class. But looking at some of these figures, that Ultra Prime doesn't look half bad. His truck mode is actually more solid than his POTP counterpart's. I'm not sure what to think of Shockwave's spider-tank mode, but I'm really digging the robot mode sculpt. I wouldn't mind seeing that get a larger class release so I could stick him with my Classics until a new Generations Shockwave comes along.

Well, there's a Cyber Battalion Shockwave coming out to Walgreens soon. If that thing is anything as good as the Recent Prowl toy they made, we may have our replacement.
Personally, I like the toys. Not everything though. The Ultra Class guys look to be about as posable as the larger Hyperchange guys from NuRiD. The Warrior classes look like an interesting blend of "neat!" and "It's all right." I still wish we had gotten a Thundercracker repaint of the Starscream/Skywarp mold before NuRiD wrapped up. An the new Seeker looks neat, but I don't know if it's better. Bumblebee has potential. Shocky looks cool. Warrior Class Optimus looks pretty weak, but the Ultimate Class Prime looks decent. My biggest concern about Megatron is if his arms bend at all. But the Scout class guys? Those guys look all funky in a good way. I wanna know ore about them, because they look so fun!

Ultra Prime and Megs look really good to me, though I do have concerns about Megatron's elbows. Warrior Shockwave is really fun looking. Starscream's not bad, but I don't really need *another* Starscream when the NuRID one was pretty damn good. All in all, interesting for a new kid's line, though the adult collectors will hate it.

Nice that they're keeping the classic characters "evergreen" for younger collectors, that might insure the longevity of the brand. Nothing I'm interested in, though.

We continue the long time trend of "What the fuck do we make Shockwave transform into?" Some kind of weird tank? A spaceship that is also a gun? A satellite? A Tachikoma? Fuck it, nobody's going to transform him out of robot mode anyway.
I'll buy it. I always buy him. Which reminds me, I need to get my shrine of Shockwave toys set back up with my lithograph and the framed copy of Marvel TF #5.

I can't decide if I love this AT-AT looking mofo Shockwave or think it's the laziest altmode ever and something my 7 year old self would have come up with if G1 Shocky had articulation to pull that off.

Yeah. I like the art design of the show and the character designs. They're fun to draw and have a neat energy to them. But some of those toys? Yeah. I'm less than impressed with those Scout class guys. I mean, it was SO DAMN CLOSE! But they dropped the ball.I'm hoping this is a Armada thing, where they get things on the right path again after a few fumbles.
I still look forward to the show though.
