Pretty much what it says on the title. I've seen a kit that basically charges $23, fully half his price, to give Sludge some extra panels and a shield so his beast mode and robot feet don't have hollow space in them. I've seen LOTS of these kits with 3D printing at this point. And I'm curious if anyone else really finds those gaps so aesthetically crushing it's worth paying a premium to fill them. I've bought a few accessory kits or bits like 3D printed pieces to deal with Fangry's weak knees, but never just to hide hollow spots you don't see from most angles.

I personally don't have an issue with gaps. A lot of times, I'll be posing the figure where the gaps are not showing anyway. There is a DK kit I was looking at for Sludge that gives him feet that will fold up better so this toes are not obviously hanging down in dino mode. But for smaller thigh, arm, etc. gaps, I can live with them.

If I was that offended, I would just fill them with epoxy putty and paint them same as on a model kit. The color won't 100% match, but neither does it on the printed parts.

For me it depends on the gap. For me, if it's like something a hollow space in the inside of the legs or the underside of a alt mode? I'm not too bothered by it.
I mean, Cyberverse Arcee has these very apparently visible gaps on her upper legs, but they're stylized in a way that matches the robots aesthetics and I keep forgetting that they're actually gaps. Sludge's giant gap on the bottom of his bronto-mode... I can't say I'm thrilled with it, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I mean, it's not like Brontosaurus' were known for standing on their hind legs a lot.
But if it's a VERY apparent empty voids, like the back of the Earthrise Datsun's legs that could have used a stylized molding or simple flap that the Cyberverse Prowls (BOTH Deluxes and Warriors) managed to do, but the "premium" Generations didn't? That kinda bothers me. If someone offered a 3P mod for it, I'd probably buy it.
I guess it depends on how invested into the character I am. I mean, I'm willing to buy accessories to make PotP Rodimus Prime into a better looking toy, or pay a few bucks for a head plug and sword sheath/bumper for Core Class Hot Rod... But I'm not going to go through any of that hassle for fucking Blurr.

It wouldn't be so bad if the windows were not clear plastic and not see right through his legs. If you find a 3P piece for those, let me know please. Also one more example that I forgot to mention is Takara Legends Dai Atlas. I mean he is missing 2 of the 4 panels that would normally make up a leg. There are 3P mods for him though but they are lindy pricey at this point.

Oh, if we're talking gaps left by transformation that aren't covered over, that's a trickier business. If you were feeling industrious, you could fabricate something out of pla plate and putty, but that gap would have to really be pissing me off.

I've gotten a few gap fillers, but they were all part of larger upgrade kits. On their own I would probably pass.
