SO, fourteen years later. And how is the new entry? Pretty good I'd say. Maybe not as good as the first, which is a near-impossible milestone to cross but I still had fun with it. Biggest complaint is that things are a little too padded; all the subplots with the kids and the heroing antics don't really gel together that well & some bits go on way too long instead of the more interesting ideas. ...will we have to wait ANOTHER decade-plus to finish the trilogy now!?

I didn't have any problems with it. I noticed there was more swearing than I would've expected, and I don't know if I'd say it's better than the first, but it is definitely a worthwhile sequel. I think they did a good job working in some era-appropriate homages to the women's rights movement, without going the route some take of thinking they have to bash/humiliate/vilify men to get their point across.
Though one curiosity came across my mind...the family's apparently been spending the two months since Syndrome's defeat living out of a motel...but with Bob unemployed, how are they getting by? I guess that one-time payment Bob got when he thought he was just stopping a berserk robot really kept them afloat.
And the short that preceded it, "Bao"...that was a thing of beauty.
