Just read the sofcover copy. A collection of stories from various writers, and a slew of graphic artists. A lot of good stuff, particularly by Jurgens and Dini (the tour guide actually reminded me of EXACTLY who it turned out to be), and one by Tom King that ended nicely enough, but the...setting was something that always kind of unsettles me.
The final story, by Bendis, acted as a preview of the 6-part Man of Steel story. If you don't want to get spoiled, don't read on.

Okay, so after a couple women go back and forth about his shorts, the guy Superman and Supergirl are fighting...is responsible for the destruction of Krypton. He apparently sees Kryptonians as a plague, must be destroyed, yadda-yadda-yadda, and somehow destroyed the whole planet.
Y'know, they tried this in Superman: Earth One, where the explosion was a deliberate act of murder. I was okay with it (and a different love interest), mostly because it was an alternate universe. But retconning it into the main canon...I don't know about that. Seems a little like grasping, and could easily be undone later as some kind of feint. However, it could just end up needlessly messing around with something that was fine the way it was.

I read it. It was okay. If they were looking for a celebration of 1000 issues of Action Comics and 80 years of Superman then the past couple years of Superman and Action Comics stories have been good enough tributes. I was wondering why in most of the stories Superman had his trunks again. I just assumed they were out-of-continuity tales until the final one where they kept making a point about it. So...the briefs are back?

Yeah, the undies are indeed back. This lasted longer than I thought it would.

Eh, not the first time someone claimed they blew up Krypton. None of them looked as silly as Lipless McFang though.

So...the briefs are back? Yeah, the Superman Facebook page has had several posts indicating it for several weeks, using a hashtag, 'shopping the red trunks onto images like of the Venus de Milo and some painting I can't remember...
