news.tfw2005.com/2020/12/19/transformers-cyberverse-deluxe-prowl-starscream-soundwave-in-hand-images-426374Some in hand pics of Cyberverse Deluxe Prowl, Soundwave, and Starscream. There is a comparison pic of Prowl with his ER counterpart and Smokescreen. He really doesn't look all that bad paired up with them. You can see there is a bit of a style difference but he looks pretty good lined up with them. Also, love that Soundwave's tape door becomes the hood and Laserbeak can fit in like he is doubling as a cassette AND a motor. EDIT: Oh crap. It's been mentioned at TFW that his knee joints are (painted over) CLEAR PLASTIC like the ER mold's. The knees look a bit bulkier though than ER Prowl's but it still makes me a tad nervous now.

Not to worry about the Prowl's knees. On top of being thicker, they're also tinted plastic too. So while it IS still less sturdy as a solid plastic pivot joint would be, being thicker and not exactly clear will give it extra strength. It should hold up.

Interesting that this set doesn't have a build a fig. Wonder if Maccaddam wasn't popular or something what with being strung out across months.

I wonder if it's a cost cutting measure or they didn't feel like the line would be around long enough for a second BAF.

My theory based on absolutely nothing is that they didn't want to string it out over months. I mean, we still got another year of Cyberverse here. We've got the two movies as well as whenever Nezha drops. But I've also noticed that they don't exactly announce these things either. I mean, we all just found out about these three new figures JUST over two weeks ago, and now people are finding them at the stores. And we know a Windblade is still forthcoming too. With rumors of a FOURTH set of four.
Seriously, Cyberverse is like that aunt and uncle who just drops in out of nowhere and gives you stuff that you didn't even know you wanted.

Seriously, Cyberverse is like that aunt and uncle who just drops in out of nowhere and gives you stuff that you didn't even know you wanted. I love that analogy. I also do enjoy the last minute surprise and almost instantaneous drop at retail. It's nice in this day and age of the internet to still be surprised about something before it gets leaked or announced. Internet has spoiled us but part of me kind of misses what it was like before to not know about a new release until we saw it in a magazine or right on store shelves.

Iabun already knows this from Twitter with me, but for the rest of you...
Cyberverse Prowl is great. Easily one of the best Cyberverse figures they've ever made, and possibly the best average priced PROWL figure ever made. He's better than Earthrise and Classics... Though I'm still on the fence if he's better than Siege. But he's good, a very solid and good toy.
The translucent legs are in a position where they're not too tight, not too loose, there's only one way they move, and there's plenty of clearance to prevent plastic stresses on it. The only flaws he's got is his paint is underdeveloped in some areas... But I fixed that with fix minutes and a gundam marker.

Besides BBTS, I also saw that Target also has a listing up for Prowl. But like Wal-Mart's place holder page, the listing says Prowl but the images are Starscream. I already ordered a single Prowl from BBTS sitting in my PoL but I wonder if I order from Target if I will really get Prowl or Starscream.

...but I wonder if I order from Target if I will really get Prowl or Starscream. Well, Starscream's pretty good too.
