At least Blast Charge has that battle-harden look so the flaking looks kinda natural. I remember seeing a Botcon Cyclonus once... I wanna say it was Shocky's? But I remember looking at it and noticing the chrome already bubbling up on the jet's top.

Reds and pinks seem to hold up the worst as far as vacuum metallics. That's why Rattrap is infamous. I also had a Saint Seiya Shun figure where the pink paint on his armor disintigrated in like a year.

I wonder what he is looking like right now.

And it's not like I haven't moved across several states with him being thrown all around and stuff. Same with G2 Bumblebee.

Transmetal Megatron, Classics Megs (I have the Japanese variant with G1 colors), and TF: Animated Megs are all good.
And, uh...I'm gonna go ahead and say it: Megabolt Megatron. That's right, the Beast Machines toy released under the RiD (CarRobots) line. The head with spider-legs. That's a good one, too, silly concept notwithstanding.

The Beast Machines toys were REALLY notorious for flaking. My Ultra Jetstorm is more silver chrome than blue now. I haven't looked at mine in years. Not sure where in storage it is. But I imagine it might be as bad. My first TM2 Megatron snapped at the waist but didn't flake. My 2nd one that I've gotten since seems to have held up well. As far as non-G1 Megs go, Transmetal Megs is a pretty solid toy all around. RiD Megatron honestly deserves an honorable mention for all those alt modes, I think Studio Series RotF Megatron is a very solid figure as well. But I think I have to go with Iacon in that TLK Voyager Megatron is an amazing figure in both modes, fun to transform, and very poseable, while also managing to do what would look like an impossible challenge of melding those two designs into one figure.
