Already announcing it as the final season, huh? I guess some kind of last minute deal was made to let the show have a proper ending. I wonder how many more characters they'll try to shoehorn into the final 22 episodes. Killer Moth? Kite Man? Bat-Mite? Hm. I could see an episode where Bruce hits his head, and says he sees a little imp floating around, harassing him, and those around him attribute it to some mild head trauma. And it, in part, influences him to "become a bat". Now, I'd forego a CGI figure floating around, just have Bruce talking to thin air. Maybe have a single frame at the end, blink-and-you'll-miss-it type of thing where they show Bat-Mite before rolling credits. But it'd probably be the C story to Barbara saying she wants to get back together with Gordon while she shoots people, and Gordon angrily saying he's the last honest cop in the city while making alliances with drug dealing terrorists or something.

Honestly, I think this is the problem with any kind of these shows, be it Smallville, Gotham or the new Krypton series... When you have a franchise about a star person, and you make something that teases, but you know will never show said star person... It's gonna piss people off. After Smallville, I just don't think people have the patience anymore to sit through ten seasons of a show, just for a second-long glimpse of a costume. And in Gotham's case, you end up having all the main characters show up before the kid's even Batman.

Maybe they could've avoided that if they'd stuck to what I thought was their original intent, and kept it "Gotham before Batman", instead of "Gotham with some Batman, just no suit, lots of hints and references instead. Also, Gordon's an ass."

13 episodes may seem short... But historically, the show usually does about 13 episodes, then a break then another 13 episodes. And I think I read somewhere that ABC has another Marvel series planned for this fall. So that might be where it ends up.
Hopefully it's not another Inhumans. (Maybe it's the new home for the New Warriors?)

So while Agents of Shield was renewed... It will not be addressing the "half the life in the universe gone" bit, as Season Six isn't due out until mid next year 2019, AFTER Avengers 4 comes out. It'll run during the late spring and early summer.
The good news is that ABC... Well, to quote them:
Makes a bit of sense, really. Summertimes are usually a dead period for networks and they're always desperate for content. And especially in the advent of digital streaming... This may actually work out nicely for them. Sweet.
Unfortunately, it looks like FX's Legion may be up on the block. The ratings have been low and the 11th episode ordered may have been ordered as a season finale. It's sad, as I really like the show... But I DO understand. Aubrey Plaza's hotness goes only so far.

(My lazy ass has yet to see it )

We'll find out this Friday. But if next season has nothing to do with the fallout of Infinity War... Then it's likely that it'll be an aftermath of A4.
