Walmart is revealing new preorders on March 15th at 1pm EST. TFW already revealed the Beast Wars reissues of Primal, Megatron, Cheetor and Rattrap. They're also revealing new WFC stuff as well as SW Vintage Collection and Real Ghostbusters. www.walmart.com/cp/collectibles/5967908

Sad to say, after the fiasco with the last round of Netflix TF pre-orders, I'm not very confident in any Wal-Mart pre-order I might put in. But I'm also interested to see what they have to offer. I know I want to get that dark blue Kingdom Cheetor I've seen posted around the net at least. As for Real Ghostbusters, I am really hoping for Plasma Series Real GB figures. I'll probably pre-order some stuff (if it doesn't get Bot-scaled first) and cautiously hope they wont be cancelled.

Hm, Transmetal Reissues I would've looked at, but the Kingdom versions of all these toys are Just Better. I even own BW Original Megs still and the paint job isn't a huge improvement. Still, hopefully we'll see some later Kingdom stuff.

Well, after the clusterfuck of broken links for the first hour of the "event" I was able to preorder everything I wanted. Now comes the wait to see if the order gets filled, and what they'll look like when I get them. My last two orders from Wally were actually packed well, so I'm hopeful. I'd rather get the stuff shipped to me instead of trolling stores looking. My anecdotal data of taking note of what my local Walmarts have been stocking lately shows that they'll only get new cases of product in once every 6-8 weeks. My suspicion is that Walmart is ordering conservatively and letting stuff sell out before placing reorders, and Hasbro isn't able to fill the reorders immediately because they're not manufacturing much overstock. Best guess.

I ordered the Sparkless Seeker... Now lets see if I actually get him or get a set of Press-on nails.

BW basic flip changer $23? Same as Cheetor? Are we considering BW basics to be "deluxe class" now?

I think that $23 will be more $20 when it hits the stores... But yeah. I think they ARE considered the same now. It's kinda crazy, I think I understand that price factors then aren't the same as now. Then it was about size, and now it's about complexity. And Rattrap, while pretty simple... Does have a pretty "flip and switch" spring loaded technique that is about $10 on a 1-step changer, but cram in decent articulation, weapons and far better plastic quality? It probably DOES jack it up to $20.
It's totally bullshit. I agree. It's just... Yeah.

That makes a sort of sense. More parts means you need to cast more runners, and more assembly. Kind of like a HG Gundam vs an RG Gundam. Same scale, vastly different part count and cost. Just weird how that seemed to not be an issue back then.

I was wondering about Rattrap being $23 also. But then BR made a point about Hasbro possibly having to recreate his basic mold since it was lost since before the 10th Anniversary line. That might play a part in the cost too.
