Not really loving these. Monster movie toys are usually one wave and done and I don't see any mention of a 6" Godzilla or Mothra. Plus no military hardware, human figures or the like. I much prefer what Lanard did for Kong and Rampage, more play potential at a good price.
On a side note, it seems that the older Bandai America 6" vinyl kaiju that used to frequent TRU have been popping up at Wal-Mart recently.

Not bad but not great.
Still, I expect these to be sold at near-impulse buy cheapness.

I know it's a case of thread Necromancy but I bought a couple of the $10 VS. packs. Picked up Godzilla vs King Ghidorah for myself and the Godzilla/Mothra set for my niece (who is a big Godzilla fan).
Haven't open the Ghidorah set but I did get to mess with the Mothra set. Godzilla is a pretty hefty figure. For a $10 set I was expecting something light and flimsy but it's actually quite the opposite. The Godzilla figure has basic hip, arm, and neck joint but a double jointed tail. The Godzilla from the Mothra set has an orange wash effect similar to the look in Destroyah.
Mothra is light weight though which was to be expected. The wing details are stickers and she can move her wings up and down and that's it. It's a shame there are bigger $15 price point Rodan and Ghidorahs but for Mothra, this is her only toy in the KoM line. The big drawback is the create a scene backdrop with...a trading card size background. As big as the box is, they should have made the backdrop the whole inner part of the box. But all in all, not bad for just $10. I'll post thoughts on Ghidorah later.

I didn't bother with any of them. I may have gotten a set if they made all four monsters in 6" scale, but only 2 won't cut it. They should have made multi-packs in that smaller scale with both the Toho kaiju and the new Titans like Behemoth, Methuselah, Scylla, etc. Missed opportunity.
Now I'm concerned if GvK will get toys at all, and if so will it be Jakks, Lanard or someone altogether different. Something with a variety of monsters that are actually in scale with each other would be nice.

Hope whoever has the KvG license has better quality. Had to return the Ghidorah set after his wing hinge broke after moving it a few times. Seeing all the gold color, makes me wonder if it was GPS.
