Honestly, they could do a PMOP as a Commander and the God Bomber as a later Voyager. It's not like Studio Series Devastator wasn't spread out, and God Bomber transforms into his own bot.

I'd 100% be on board for another take on PMOP. I wasn't really impressed with the last redo. Same here. But I want the full PMOP experience. God Bomber and all. But would they be able to pull that off at Commander Class is the kicker. Trick to that is sell Bomber as a separate fig at whatever they're calling that size now. Doesn't compromise PMOP and for those that don't want the Apex/God Jinrai mode they can just skip it altogether Edit: OM beat me to it, didn't see his post til I replied

They could do PMOP as a Commander. The Armada Prime is proof enough for that. But how would they handle the Godbomber? That is another question, and I do not think that has an easy answer. The toy would have to be at least a Leader in size... You would think a Voyager would work, but it'd need to be more complex. But there's problems:
I don't think Godbomber is well known enough in the west to warrant his own exclusive mold that can't be retooled into something else. Sure, there's been the occasional surprises like Magmatron & Leo Prime... But also, characters like those are their own individual toys. Godbomber requires you to buy a $90 Commander Class to even work appropriately. It's the problem that a toy like Armada Overload has... Except he was fun on his own. Tidal Wave works because he's certainly his own character. The combination with Megatron is really secondary. I plan to buy him eventually, but I don't give a crap about Megatron in Kangoku Senkan-mode.
But there's the bigger problem: Truthfully, as armor pieces, Godbomber's great. As a robot, he sucks balls.
I (overpaid) for the Legends Godbomber and honestly... It's a fragile and fiddly piece of shit. I studied that thing and wondered "How can one improve on this?" and the answer is "You don't." There's probably a VERY good reason Hasbro never bothered to bring him over. Any version of Godbomber that they make will either be an overly simplistic, very hollow and overpriced Weaponizer... Or an overly complex, very hollow and overpriced Weaponizer.
He just sucks.

He definitely sucks. G1 AND the Takara Legends release. Hasbro was not going to give Godbomber his own release in the Titans Return line and was going to include him in one of the two remaining cancelled TR 5-pack giftsets. The only way I can see us getting a complete package Godbomber and PMOP set is to make him a Haslab. I know Hasbro said there would be no Optimus Primes in Haslab but would they be able to get around it by marketing him as Godbomber Ginrai? But truth be told, I could actually care less if we ever get a new Godbomber. The whole reason I loved PMOP back in the day is that he was a beefier more powerful looking Optimus Prime. I know he came later but I didn't need a Godbomber, I was fine with PMOP just the way he was. Just stick to that and I'll be happy.

I wonder if they could get away with pitching Godbomber by himself as a HasLab. Like, go ahead and release PM Prime, then be like "Yo, if you want a Godbomber fund this." Then if it fails to fund, it fails, no harm no foul.

I want to like Sideswipe but he looks a little too bulky and not very sleek looking.

Interesting. I still have the CW Devastator on display, and I think he looks pretty good, but curious to see what they do with it. With them all being Voyagers, I expect it'll be about the same size as the CW version (gift set sold at Titan price point?). But, I'd have kind of wanted one built with deluxes that was more like Legacy Menasor size just for shelf space reasons...

The listings show Mixmaster and Scrapper as a Voyager but Scavenger and Bonecrusher as deluxes.
