Right, but aren't they a whole second included set of smaller scale Dark Fleet vehicles which do that? Looking closer, you're right. It looks like smaller compartments that can separate from TW to form armor for Megatron.

Aaaaaah. OK. Including a whole second set would be nice for those who want to display both at the same time, but I was wondering how in the world they were able to swing that extra cost.

Yeah, for instance, part of it is that his hand can be removed to be a smaller boat, with part of the arm then becoming a claw-hand to fill in the space.

Damn, they have done a shit job of explaining this feature in the marketing. I found the YouTube video where they show how this works, and that Tidal Wave is still displayable without those parts. That works well, I'm impressed.

$270 after taxes.
I cannot justify it anymore. I hit that point. I'm free.
I paid less for my over-range microwave and minifridge I bought this weekend. And I'll actually USE those.

They're neat, but not $250 better than the originals, especially Fire Convoy. Easy pass.

I completely get where you are coming from. And not just from a TF standpoint. Alot of toys are getting so expensive that the fun is just completely sucked out of it when you are having to worry about the cost and whether it is worth it or not to keep going. When it gets to that point, it's time to rethink the hobbies. That's why I had to cut way back on the other stuff I collected like MOTU and being way more selective with Transformers. Only toy line I'm still sort of full throttle in are GI Joes, but with those, I feel like I can at least get my money's worth of out them. But I'm starting to wonder if it's worth having a hobby anymore with the prices getting higher and higher.
