Whereas I'm over here being like "nah, this is a cool visual styling that I'm down for". Admittedly, Prowl's shoulder fins setup in robot mode was always a favorite, and I love the wheel legs (they should've used for Arcee) on him. The Junkion further makes Studio Series Wreck-Gar look like an oversized, pandering pile of garbage and makes me want a do-over on a toy that's not even two years old yet in this style.

Whereas I'm over here being like "nah, this is a cool visual styling that I'm down for". Agreed. The original Diaclone designs have always been my favorite Transformer aesthetic. Seeing other eras characters get "G1" toys I'm very much a fan of.

I was wondering what the issue was with the guns that warranted an upgrade. I forgot about those gaps. Between those and the new longer blade, I might get this kit. Don't need the different face or the wings though. Those wings look way too long but at least they don't have to be decaled.

The sword I might use, the included one is a bit wimpy, but I think that’s so it can fit into the leg for storage. I agree the wings are a bit much. I misplaced the stickers for mine, but I don’t really care because I wouldn’t have used them. If I was really bothered, I’d paint it myself. The face I don’t get at all. Maybe I’ll change my mind when I see it in person, but i think the one in the upgrade kit looks worse, and there was nothing wrong with the original one.

Honestly, the gaps don't bug me. I can understand people being like "man, why are there plastic cutouts given the price of this thing?" but not enough to pay more for only those gap fillers when the rest don't really interest me.

After some thought, I decided to pass on this upgrade kit myself. I would have wanted the larger sword but I have it stored on Star Saber's shield so a longer blade is kinda moot at this point.

If it was just like Plastic fillers and the sword... I'd probably bite. But the faceplate is silly... The normal one is just fine. The new wings are too long, and that red sticker can be replaced with a goddamned Wal-Mart paint marker. The cannons look nice... But all in all, it's not enough to make me wanna buy stuff just to make it look superficially like a Studio Ox drawing.

I guess it depends how much those gaps bother you. My eyes focus on them every time I look at the figure, so I'll pay the $20 just to make that go away.
