Yeah, I'm all happy and cool with it... As long as they learned WHY the movie went over so well with audiences, and not just that it did.
It would be so damn easy for them to fall right back into that Bay-crap all over again.

I'm really not worried about that TLK follow up. I've got this feeling that no one's told di Bonventura that Hasbro (who's co-funding these movies now) and Tencent Studios (who's co funding the other half) OR Paramount has NO INTEREST at all in continuing the story from the previous universe. Remember, the soonest we'll see another TF movie is 2021. And by then, he'll have this TLK crap out of his system.
But right now, that may be a moot point. I would think Paramount is more concerned with getting ANYTHING out there this year. Because according to the current Paramount contract with Hasbro, they HAVE to produce at least one movie a year based on Hasbro properties to retain the license... And the property one nearest completion is the Snake Eyes movie for March of 2020. TF6 WAS going to be out this year... But right now? Nothing.
They've got NINE months.

I just hope that in their rush to get anything made, they don’t squander all the good that the BB movie has done. Lorenzo has been making so many statements about the future of the movies, that it seems more like he’s publicly brainstorming than announcing anything official.

From what it sounds like, after he made that claim about a follow up to TLK, he said that the next movie is Bumblebee centric, following only off that movie, and he even uttered the word "reboot". The thinking is that the previous statement was asked to him in Japanese, translated to English, answered in English, then translated to Japanese for the journalist who published it in Japanese, where America weeaboos translated THAT version.
Lost in translation.
We can call off yellow alert again... No reason to freak yet.
