Giving us our first clear look of Bumblebee's face in the movie... The synopsis is as follows: If the movie has even a quarter of the charm that this cover and write up has... Then we could be looking at a vastly new and improved movie series for the 'Bots. (And giving credence to the rumors of an X-Men: First Class style reboot.)

Looks good, unless his face changed from the 60's comic to the 80's movie. I'd like to see the more humanoid facial features make their way into the films.

And apparently, it's official now. The Bumblebee movie is now a reboot.

I'm almost...ALMOST torn over this. 25% of me wish they would have finished out the story from TLK involving Unicron. The other 75% (which is also the part of me that likes coherent stories) is absolutely ecstatic over this. I don't want to bad mouth Bay but he really overstayed his welcome on the Transformers movies and should have gracefully bowed out after DoTM like he originally intended.
However if I could take a single aspect of the last 5 Bay movies and carry it over to any future Bay-less movies, it would be to keep Hound in the series and allow John Goodman to voice that role as long as he wants it.

Nope. Was all set with watching Unicron being turned into another prop to be blown up by Hoomans. But Yeah, I agree, Goodman Hound is the only best thing about them - he felt like he was from (and deserved to be in) a better movie.

Eh, I still think the first one was pretty good as a movie slimming down of the basic concept. And it was probably the only one that gave Megatron the dread he deserved. Heck, all the Decepticons aside from Bonecrusher at least felt threatening rather than being cardboard cutouts to get blown up. And even Bonecrusher at least had a moment you remember even if Prime took him down like so much garbage. Like, really, if the first TF movie hadn't made ALL THE MONEY and they just left it right there, can you honestly say it wouldn't have been just fine?

Oh yeah, the first was just fine. Except for Deino, we all liked it. But like anything that doesn't know when to quit, the constant bottoming out just ruined all good will Movie #1 had.
Sorry Boss Raptor... I got a feeling this year, when I make the new Den banner for the TF movie, it's not going to be a negative one.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell for me. I really did like the original at first, but the sequels just soured me more and more with every iteration. Megatron was great in the original, Blackout's intro was the first time a Decepticon was ever truly scary (if the entire movie kept the tone of the opener!), and they got Prime right in the first one aside from the Jazzhands at the end. Cut out the awful jokes and trim the needless sideplot with the hackers and it'd honestly be a really good movie. But the sequels... ugh.

I have to agree, the first one was fine. But the sequels just started a down hill trend that never recovered until it spriraled with TLK.
I know it's not a new concept since it started with the 86 movie, but with the new post Bay direction, can we please stop killing TFs just to make room for others. Jazz's death in the first was necessary to show its not all perfect and Ratchet's death really bothered Prime in AoE, but the rest were like "eh". When the Arcees and Jetfire were offed in ROTF, it was just oh well. Ironhide's was shocking to fans but storywise, it didnt really do much, IMO. If they had at least shown Prime's reaction to Ironhide's death like they did with Ratchet's it would have been better. I'm not saying Id like to see no bot deaths in future TF movies, but keep the TF cast small and let us get invested in them so when one does join the Allspark, it will have some overall meaning.
