Ops, Uni and I just got out of it. Nailed it!
Well, except Wheeljack. Uni is a bit miffed about this version of him. She liked him, but not Wheeljack.

I saw it last night.
I thought Bumblebee was a better movie, but it was better than Movies 1-5. That said though, it kinda lost me at the final battle. I was invested in Mirage, Noah and Elena, much like I was with 'Bee, Charlie and Memo in the last movie. And they set up a lot of interesting side things... And me working in a museum, I did like the archeology researching to discover secrets of the Maximals. Not to mention Noah and his brother's story was also interesting too, with his chemistry with Mirage. To the point that I was just wanting to focus on them and NOT Prime and the Funky Bunch. I LIKED them a lot. (It's OBVIOUS that in 13 years, Bumblebee is NOT going to meet up with Sam and Mikaela. This is a reboot.)
But after they, as my wife said "Done (CHARACTER) dirty" I kinda agreed with her and it sorta fell apart into a CGI cut scene, interspersed with Mirage & Noah doing stuff. It was building up so good and then it just... Stopped. It doesn't help that outside of Mirage, Airazor, Prime, Primal and Scourge... All the other bots are almost interchangeable. I mean, they at least had lines and dialogue that was more than quick catchphrases... But Arcee, Wheeljack, Rhinox and Battletrap could easily have been Flareup, Downshift, Backstop and Crumplezone and it wouldn't have been any different.
I mean, I liked the movie. I thought it was fun. And it's a decent follow up to Bumblebee.
But honestly, it's a pretty standard action movie script. I had JUST seen Across the Spiderverse (a near perfect movie) last Saturday. I'm still making references to Hobie Brown and Pavitr Prabhakar... I don't see me quoting Mirage here.
Maybe I'm just old?

It's a transformers movie. It doesn't really innovate, just sticks with what works. And that's all I needed. Spider-verse, from all reports, is on a scale far beyond.

I think there is a screw up with my local cinema, their site says I can see the Flash film, but not RotB
edit: Apparently Australia does not get it till the 22nd.... for some reason.

Rented this over the weekend. It's fine. Continues the BB trend of the human characters not being infuriating. Like Mach, I was starting to tune out in the final battle, but did like as Noah put it the "Indiana Jones shit". Mirage's final "transformation" was kind of dumb, but at least they set it up by establishing early that he's some sort of transforming savant able to adapt his alt mode at will.
Mama Said Knock You Out got a laugh out of me.

Personally, I can admit that nothing it did really changed a lot about the franchise and such there? And yes, "this was good enough after how bad some of the prior ones were" is damning with faint praise. But I enjoyed it a bit, and possibly the biggest praise I could give is that it made me actually order a Battletrap toy after I'd passed on him prior, and I'm planning to make sure I can get ahold of a Nightbird to complete that trio. I feel like that's a lot stronger than previous movie showings (and duplicates the fact I bought two toys a piece of Dropkick and Shatter from Bumblebee). It's not going to compete with Spiderverse, but maybe *I'm* getting old in that I'm happy with movies that are just good without being exceptional when it comes to TFs.

I bought it on digital a few weeks ago and I admit I was scared going into it. I was afraid with Unicron, they were cramming too much into it but it all flowed pretty smoothly for the most part. I enjoyed it as much as I did BB. Only thing I wish was a short post credit scene or even a sound byte with a certain someone saying "Yeeeeesssss". But if I had known ROTB was popping up on Paramount+ so quickly, I would have held off buying it.

That's why I didn't buy it. Other than Top Gun Maverick, Paramount has been pretty quick with the Paramount Plus releasing of their movies. Dungeons and Dragons was less than two months. RotB here as well. Sonic 2 went on there pretty quickly. It's like as soon as it's out of theaters, it's up there now.
I suspect that the Mission Impossible movie no one saw will be there in a couple months too.

And I keep forgetting D&D is on there now. Keep meaning to see that.
