True story. In 2018, I went home and visited Michigan for a friend's wedding. We stopped at the local TRU I went to all the time. On the tiptop of the shelves in the action figure aisle, was always the oversized toys that never sold. There was still a few Energon Unicrons lurking, that overpriced TF5 Cybertron toy, and that giant ass Cybertron Starscream. And of course, some Supreme Cheetors. My wife asked me if I wanted any of them, and I told her I could have gotten them 15 years ago and that Cheetor has been there for nearing 18 years. It's old enough to vote.
When it closed down in 2018, I asked a friend to check and see if they still had the Cheetors... There were two left, marked down to $5.

I still have Energon Unicron and that damn starscream in some of my TF boxes. Hell, I set Screamer up to fight Omega one time... His joints are still pretty good. Unlike Cheetors, ever.

I remember seeing him on eBay so long ago, and the seller put him in...such an peculiar choice of pose. So, as I was in a bit of a habit of finding pics to make funny (mostly from Ben Yee's site), I made this. The numbers spell out "LOSER" on the phone.

Is this the most hated TF toy in history? There's been other giant, gimmick laden bricks, but I think maybe it's that plus the general animosity toward Beast Machines.
Then again, even Mach hates it, so maybe it's just that bad.

It was low quality, couldn't really stand up on its own in either form thanks to terrible design AND terrible QC on the joints, the electronics were glitchy at best, the gimmicks really hurt articulation, and it was fucking ugly. And big. Pointlessly big.

To add to what MD said that Deluxe version was a better design, with better articulation and a better toy in every way (and BM Deluxe Cheetor is in no way a *great*, all time awesome TF, that thing is resoundingly mediocre at best), at a much more reasonable price and more in scale with the rest of the figures in the line, so there wasn't even that going for it.

Now that I think about it, Supreme Cheetor was MASSIVE. None of the Supreme class figures that followed were even close. We didn't get anything in that size until Generations Metroplex. And all the Supremes of the Unicron Trilogy had more play value and interactivity with other figures. Yes, even Cybertron Screamer. And all of them still had problems with shelfwarming in places. Honestly, a better Supreme toy for Beast Machines would have been Grand Mal. Have it unfold into a base for figures to fight on.

Talking about the Surpremes shelf-warming, the one exception during that entire run was Energon Omega Sentinel. At least it was in my area. I saw it only one time when I didn't have any money but I thought since Supreme Cheetor, Armada Unicron, Energon Unicron, Energon "Armada repack" Unicron, and Omega Supreme shelf-warmed, it would be the same with Omega Sentinel. Never saw it again after that one time and it still p's me off. As much hate as BM gets, I did like some of the toys and I would not be opposed to some newer versions. I'll need to find the pics again, but someone digi-bashed ROTB Air Razor into BM Silverbolt and it really looks awesome.

Goddamn Generations Vehicons. It's an EASY one, Hasbro. The only time you've done it so far is that one Deluxe Tankorr that was too damn small.
