November 12th - $6.99 a month or $69.99 annually.
Confirmed - WandaVision (official title), Falcon and Winter Soldier and Loki with all the film stars. There's also a "What If" MCU animated series with some of the movie actors voicing their animated counterparts. They also announced that the Simpsons will be streaming exclusively on the service if that's an incentive to anyone. More info on the Star Wars series will probably come out at SW Celebration this week.

For $6.99 a month, I'd be willing to try it for a month once those new Marvel series hit. Especially to check out that animated What If series. Wonder if they will release all episodes at once ala Netflix or on a weekly basis like CBS.

$6.99?
Done. That's way more than a fair price. I was expecting around $10.

If this Tumblr post is to be believed, the first episode of "What If...?" will see Peggy becoming the first super-soldier, and Steve fighting in specialized suit. Built by Howard Stark. I'll admit, I'm intrigued.

$6.99? Done. That's way more than a fair price. I was expecting around $10. Even if they go up to $7.99 or 8.99 after the first year or two, they'd still be even with Netflix's current price for single device subscription, and Hulu's basic service just dropped way down from $7.99 to $5.99. I can't see a scenario where Netflix won't be forced to lower their price in the near future. Their stock already took a hit after Disney's announcement. Let the streaming wars commence!

The thing to remember with Disney and especially Apple with these streaming services is they have other revenue streams. They can afford to break even or take a loss on this, which Netflix and Hulu can't. I'm not sure how I'd feel about Netflix or Hulu failing, especially if a bunch of content vanishes with them.

I'm not all that concerned about Netflix right now. I'm really curious as to how many devices that $6.99 Disney price will allow. Right now I've got the $12.99 multiple device Netflix subscription that I share with 3 other family members, so that's a good deal. Plus the Disney service is staying "family friendly" so nothing above PG-13, that gives Netflix an edge in mature content.

Also, Hulu's now majorly owned by Disney so they can afford to go cheaper too.

Also, Hulu's now majorly owned by Disney so they can afford to go cheaper too. Disney has been VEEEEERRRY quiet about basically acquiring Hulu via majority stake with the Fox buyout. Makes me suspect either Hulu is doomed, and all of it's content is gonna wind up under Disney+, or if it'll be one of those "we own it but we'll pretend it's a competitor" thing that the wireless carriers do with the prepaid networks.

Yeah, I forgot about the Fox acquisition also basically giving them Hulu. I saw something about the two services sharing account data, so you can log into them with the same user name and password. And also that they might bundle the two. Seems like Hulu is going to basically be the Miramax of Disney streaming, where they put all the stuff that isn't appropriate on Disney+.
