I kinda wonder... If the Lost Light ended up in the Cyberverse Universe and we'll see them again. IDW gave Hasbro an excuse for the Lost Light to show up in any future transformer franchise. I would not be surprised if they decided to have some fun and sneak members of the crew into the back ground of future art, TV shows, Games or comics.

*Reads the last issue of Unicron.*
While Lost light ended on a high feel good note... this one was more messy and just left me feeling a tad burnt out. And I think John Barber wanted to out do Simon Furman for killing off named bots, cuz damn that is a pile of corpses by the end.

I dunno. I know we have one more issue to go, and I think that'll be the final judge of it. I didn't mind it, but I wasn't exactly blown away by it either. My biggest issue right now is where we're leaving off. Much like in the Unicron Trilogy, I'm really curious what happens next and now we end.

And that's a wrap. I'm not going to say it was perfect, but you know... It was a fun ride. And now... Well, we'll see where it goes from here. But as one Universe ends, another begins.
Gobots launched today by creator Tom Scioli. I understand the art is not everyone's cup of tea, but damn... The story here was unique in a good and surprising way. I was expecting some soft homage to the old series with some neat nods here and there to other stuff. But what I got was a surreal and expertly handled story that owes less to Transformers, Machine Robo and whatever else and more to Isaac Asimov and his studies on robots and human relationships.
This comic is awesome!

I really did like the finale. It's nice to see it roll out, even if certain writing decisions weren't what I wanted (Slide ending up a Torchbearer makes me roll my eyes sooooo hard, because Slide is honestly the worst character in the franchise. That said, the rest of the story was good.
Scioli's art, though....neeergh. I get what he's homaging, but it just is not my thing, and as much as people complained Livio Ramondelli's stuff took them out of the comic, Scioli is like that for me.

I think out of the 3, the Lost Light ended it the best.
Cuz at least that one addressed the fact that there is a new Cybertron to replace the one Unicron ate.
(And the Lost Light stayed well away from the mess the Legends of the Primes ended up becoming. I much preferred the Guiding Hand, much more simple/fun)
