That’s an incredible run for any show.
I... have seen the designs of the ponies for the follow-up show, and I gotta say- not a fan. I think I finally burned out on FIM after season 6, but it nonetheless is a great show. Cool that they ran this long.

Truthfully, I have mixed feelings about this.
On the one hand, I've always found something that I could enjoy about this show, and nine years is a great run for any series. On the other, my issues with it have been mounting for some time now, and I'm ready for it to end.
That being said, I'm hoping that the final season will be entertaining.

Now you have me curious. What issues?
I have a few quibbles, but nothing major. I always thought Twilight’s treehouse was a better setting both visually & in terms of reflecting her personality than her castle.
And I thought it was kinda lame that they made Daring Do a real person instead of just a fictional one.
That’s all I can think of at the moment.

My quibbles with the latest seasons are few...but Im kinda glad that it’s getting a chance to end instead of being unceremoniously cancelled. That said...trailer.. I’m going to cry...aren’t I?

I’m going to cry...aren’t I? I'm not crying, you're crying. John De Lancie getting some serious lines in the trailer kind of made it hit home. But yea, 9 years is a good run. It's just kind of sad because my sister grew up with FiM and my niece did too and while I didn't buy the toys, I did enjoy the show (coming around right as season 3 ended) and it was something I could relate to with both of them. I just hope the writers could shed some light on a few things before the finale like the true fate of Applejack's parents and maybe address Scootaloo's flying.
