Hi folks- (If this is the wrong forum for (re)introductions, please feel free to delete/ move) I was reminiscing about the 'old days' of Transfandom (my TF passion has been reignited by the Siege line and Bumblebee movie, along with starting to re-watch G1 in it's entirety with my kids!), so thought I would attempt to reconnect with some of my old Triumvrate/ Transfans Guild mates. Thanks to triumshockwave for pointing me here. Any other veterans of Transfans.com/ The Triumvrate/ I.C.O.M. here? I really have no idea as to what has been happening in the fandom whilst I was gone... Hope everyone is well and Happy

Hey man, glad you made it. It's not super active here, but it is a close knit group of us golden oldies, and a quiet space away from the usual fandom bullshit. It's not just about TFs here either, we talk about anything geeky, life stuff, whatever's on your mind.
Where this place came from primarily was the Transfandom.com staff and forums. When it started to devolve into a cesspool of internecine politics, Deino spun up his own forum and started inviting some of the low drama folks to come hang out here. And some of us have just never left. It's a unique place. Over time a few other folks have been invited or wandered in, but that's the core of it.

I'd like to note that with the benefit of hindsight, "Transfandom" is an incredibly awkward name looking back, much less people labeling themselves "Transfans". It was a more innocent time, but I laugh at it all the same now.

Your handle looks vaaaaaaguely familiar, but I'm absolutely horrible with names so I dunno what that's worth.

Welcome "back" I'll admit, I don't remember anything specific about you from back in the day, but I do get a general recollection of "one of the good ones" from the name, so that's good enough for me. Hope you enjoy your time here with us!

Hey & welcome back!
I know what you mean- seeing TFTM in theaters for the first time in my life last September & then Bumblebee in December rekindled a lot of the love & that sense of magic that I hadn’t felt in years. I was so impressed with the BB movie, that I put the Decepticon magnet back on my car- something I took off back in 2010 or so. I’ve introduced my toddlers to Rescue Bots & RB: Academy. They’re good shows & light on conflict. Pretty much perfect for a 2 1/2 year old & a 1-year-old. I look forward to showing them some of the other shows when they’re a bit older.
The Studio Series & Masterpiece lines continually impress me. And it seems like high-end collectibles are in abundance now more than ever. It’s a pretty good time to be a fan.

I’ve been in a sort of Transformers fandom reawakening recently myself. Last year I temporarily returned to completionist collecting for Power of the Primes which is carrying over this year into getting a good portion of the Siege releases. I thoroughly enjoyed how IDW wrapped up their comics continuity and the crechendo of story that led to the end. Cyberverse was surprisingly enjoyable with a very satisfying “season finale”, and the Bumblebee movie was a welcome change of pace from the past decade’s shitshow movies. And as Mako mentioned, seeing the original animated movie in the theater didn't hurt either.
