So, tonight was the "1-hour special". That's how they advertised it. But it felt very...finale-y.
It seemed resolve everything. EVERYTHING. There was a moment where the animation was really stepped up. They had a gut-wrenching moment just before then. They--
--they sang the theme song IN-SHOW!
I mean, yeah, they did have the teaser for the movie this fall (which I'm guessing deals with events before or shortly after Steven is born...that swirling heart gem seemed to show the Gems in the forms they had when they met Greg, and...yeah, that looks like Greg in there. So either the movie will be the finale-finale (like Trouble in Tokyo), or it opens up some ongoing threat for a Season 6. But if that were the case, I'm wondering if that's just grasping. 5 seasons is a respectable number, and they've had some...not so great ones in the last year or two (probably two, given how sparsely they actually air this show). So a sixth season could be like the the ABC season of "Scrubs".
So, yeah.
Oh, right, I nearly forget, at the end of the third part, I was totally quoting that seal from SeaLab2021. "Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap on a crap cracker!"

I guess we know that the temple is based off. Friken SU Kali Ma! also, I think Rebecca Sugar said there will be a season 6, hopefully it won't be stretched over two years

With all that magma, I kind of figured that when they reverted to their individual forms, they'd kind of molt a rock-statue. Basically saying that the original obsidian formed to stop some threat, and when they de-fused, the foundation of the temple was left behind.
But I guess someone just carved it out on what became Beach City.
