Had our Polar Vortex last week. On the coldest day, I turned over the car engines three times, just to be safe.
Today, I went for my (not quite as) daily (these days) walks, despite it being 4 degrees. I cut it my walk short, and just as well, since my face was freezing something fierce. Maybe I should buy a balaclava.
If you want something done, it's going to take time. If you want something done RIGHT, it's going to take longer.
During the vortex, we only hit about -3 in Pittsburgh here. (Nothing like the mid west got.) I had to work at the library, and because I live only three blocks away... I walked to work. It was surprisingly busy. After the vortex, it was surprisingly slow... Only dealing with the usual crazies, mobsters and MAGA-hats. (Triple redundancy, I know.)

We've not been above freezing for the last couple weeks up here in Washington state, and it dropped to single digits but didn't quite hit the negatives. However, we probably had about a foot of snow dumped on us, a couple days of clear, and another foot dumped after that, with even more forecasted for the rest of the week.
Makes me glad we're heading out for our Disneyworld vacation over in Florida soon. The farmers may appreciate the build up of the snowpack in the mountains for irrigation, but it's lousy to deal with when you're in the middle of it.
EDIT: Also, my backyard right now. Please note the above mentioned foot hasn't hit yet.
iacon45: And it pains me to say this, but these Siege Micromasters are the low point of this line for the most part. Spy Patrol and Deceptijets are great but the rest are meh. The emergency team is just as big a flop as the car team.

Blade Raider: I have noticed that Mega is just branding these Detective Pikachu and just making the normal Pokemon designs. I think that speaks for how much the movie designs just look like Pokemon put through a realism filter rather than a forced redesign.

Blade Raider: Pokemon sets are about half the Mega stuff at mine, then a little of everything else.

Blade Raider: If Mega wants my money badly, they'll make the Aegislash line. I would buy them so hard.

iacon45: How is the Mega Construx area at your local Wally? Mine has the mini figures but only sets they have are Pokemon or the MOTU multipack/Wind Raider sets. They stopped carrying much CoD sets.

Blade Raider: I've been eyeing that Scyther all year. It looks so good.

iacon45: I saw that set browsing through Wal-Mart.com. $40 for Lapras there. >_<

iacon45: I really don't have much interest in the Pokemon sets, but if that $20 Scyther set goes on clearance, I might bite.

Blade Raider: I've never seen the Lapras set in person. I'd like to have that.

Blade Raider: I've seen that set for reasonable prices, just never at the right time.

Blade Raider: Oh, right, Porygon was in the Onix set.
Apr 20, 2019 16:27:45 GMT -5
iacon45: They did. It was in an Onyx Battle Set. Not sure if he has a single release.
