I’ll have to take back what I said about BW2’s Unicron having a giant backpack. Just saw the SDCC footage & this new Unicron has a big backpack too, that I hadn’t noticed in any of the other angles previously shown.
Seeing all the panels folded up on his legs & back, I wonder if they couldn’t have done something like TFP vehicon, where the folded panels formed the legs. I don’t know. I just keep thinking there must be some way to make it happen without breaking the laws of physics.
Oh well. Still looks good from the front.

I was actually looking forward to the weaponizer style Powerdashers, but knowing I have to get the $70 something set on Amazon with clear Mirage and "Decepticon" Impactor has sort of killed my desire to own the other two. As for Nightbird, she looks pretty good with the Siege Chromia remold. Honestly, I think that she should have been released first over Siege Chromia since she has not had a US release of any kind. I'll most likely pass on it though. As good as it looks, I like the Takara repaint from Arcee just a little more.

I’m with you 100% on this one. I’d LOVE to have something like a three pack of the Powerdashers, but I’m not too keen on the variant Impactor or Mirage.

Only 5 days left for Unicron and they're not even halfway on backers, currently around 3100 out of 8000.

Honestly, I think this was a bad idea.
Sure, it looks neat... But... It's not like Jabba's Barge. This isn't a playset, and it's barely a toy. it's a $600 oversized desktop curio. Ten years ago when cost of production wasn't double what it is now and we weren't all living in a crapsack world... This might have been doable. But I've noticed lately, Hasbro has been getting bolder and bolder with the jacked up priced. The toys are getting smaller and more expensive... And this has been a trend since TR: Prime began. And that's just not cool.
I don't mean to be a dick to the people who ordered this thing, because I'm sorry they're not getting what looks to be a cool thing. But Hasbro needs to be told "That's enough. It's too much money and I won't buy it." And it looks like people have done just that.
And I hope they learn a lesson from this.

The Haslab Cookie Monster failed miserably. 63 backers out of 3000. Ouch.

Younger me could justify a 600 figure given enough time to save for it. Now... eh, I'm having a hard time committing to that. MAYBE if I had like a year's leeway, so I could sock aside like 15 bucks a month, I could do it. But even to NYCC, I just can't. Too many other things going on. 300, I'd probably get him. Twice that? Twice that is a new phone, or two car payments. Pass.

Haha. Way to be a dick, Hasbro. Hasbro is going to change the date, add incentives, do whatever they can to will this thing into existence. Producing the tooling and prototype was not cheap, someone must have thought this was a sure thing.
