I'd like to imagine that the animation was done by Toei and it had that funky blend of 80s anime and the G1 Style we're all familiar with. And it's plot is completely inconsistent with any continuity with the ongoing series. (Like the train is rebuilt into Omega Supreme or something.)

See, that sounds so accurate I'm gonna start thinking this thing existed.

A lot of it was off model, because a lot of the color schemes weren't finalized yet. Like Tracks actually showed up as red in there, and was voiced by a woman. (Probably where they got the idea for Road Rage all the years later.) Skids was basically Crosscut. (He was never named so no one knew who the hell he was supposed to be.) It was really funky. On the cool side of the news, this is where the Jumpstarters model sheets were actually used... For the whole ten seconds they were on the screen.

If we had come up with this in 1998, there would be people insisting it existed to this day

I'll get Lancer in her G2 glory but after her, I am done with that mold.

I'll get Lancer in her G2 glory but after her, I am done with that mold. I'll accept Greenlight and Lancer... But I refused to buy Chromia. I have a perfectly good Chromia from 2014 that looks like her and doesn't have leprosy.

I have a perfectly good Chromia from 2014 that looks like her and doesn't have leprosy. I was the same way on Chromia. I not only liked her 2014 alt mode better, I prefer some variety in my G1 fembot ranks. news.tfw2005.com/2019/07/12/generations-selects-leader-class-galactic-man-shockwave-and-deluxe-lancer-official-images-391096Oh and next Select is Siege "Galactic Man" Shockwave aka "Shackwave". I only had Shackwave growing up so I know I'll be getting this one and also thinking he might replace Siege Shockwave on my shelf.
