Okay, and we're up! We have a new trailer that dropped today. And here it is! Yeah. Yeah! Fuck yeah! THAT'S MORE FUCKING LIKE IT!! I totally get a potential First Class vibe from here, where it connects, but you can still see how it can swerve off into a new direction. Even if the movie ends up being a disappointment like the last four movies (five for Deino), the two and a half minutes of heart and warm feelings that this trailer gave me is worth it. Not an explosion in sight. And we got this motherfucker too!

Yup. I may actually pay cash money to a movie theater to see this one. Still not 100% down with the "Bee can't speak" shtick, but Transformers: Prime taught me to tolerate that to a certain extent, so I'll roll with it.

Is that.... Starscream? Huh.
Well, between this and the official word that it's a reboot, consider me gone from 'intrigued' to 'cautiously optimistic'.

Did his dick flop out on the floor there? Im glad Im not the only one that thought that. But this is a definite a step in the right direction (especially after AoE and TLK). Hardly any explosions, a smaller cast of bots, seems like possibly a clear and concise story, I am onboard with this 100%. Also like the Bernie Mac voice over nod at the start too. Only drawback though is this makes me want to see a John Cena movie .

Given the fact you can see his face in the undercarriage, my first thought was "oh, hey, the weapon pops out when you don't transform him right".

Given the fact you can see his face in the undercarriage, my first thought was "oh, hey, the weapon pops out when you don't transform him right". I'm... cautiously excited for three reasons: 1: Bumblebee is actually a TRANSFORMER! That scene showed him being exactly that with toy homage under the carriage kibble, not just "an earth car that magics into a robot" like most of the movies have been with exact engine parts, and everything. 2: Starscream looks like fucking STARSCREAM! Though he looks like he turns into an A-4 Phantom II(?), which if the 1960s time period being the prologue from the comic, makes sense as that's the plane the F-15 succeeded. Maybe we'll see him take his proper form later in the movie. 3: Looks like Bee is actually treated as a character and not just a prop. But.. am I the only one getting a Skids and Charlene vibe? But the trailers to the others all looked good too, so I'm still leery. One thing I am curious about though, if we are going First Class here, if it leads into the 80s time period specific reboot.. yeah, Paramount can just have my wallet now. And the little nod to Bernie Mac was a nice touch, too.

Another thing of interest... The movie is called Bumblebee. Not Transformers: Bumblebee, not Bumblebee: A Transformers Story... Just JUST Bumblebee. In fact, other than the Autobot symbol which flashes on the screen at the very end... it's almost like they're distancing themselves a bit.

Who can blame them? They’re begging forgiveness here! I honestly like it for all the reasons you guys are listing. It has heart, it looks focused, & it looks to be more character-driven. That’s all I was hoping to see in this trailer, & they delivered (and then some). Based on this one trailer alone, I’ll be buying a ticket. The one thing though: ever since “How to Train Your Dragon”, everyone always does the face touch thing to convey trust. Just give BB a black repaint and call him Toothless already!
