You dirty, barely-convincing tease. From this past Wednesday's 'Tec #980.

I read that and I immediately thought of you. Just that line at the end "You've shown me that in any universe, I'm frickin' awesome!"

I wish I could get excited about it. I really do.
But I totally expect someone to post more pages, and it's revealed Spoiler-Alert and CassINO said "we like who we are, we don't need those lives" or something. Because Cassie's better with a dead Dad that never loved her and only existing because some writer's pet thought she was a novel accessory to her own glory.
And if that line you quoted is actually in that issue, I'd wager it's spoken by Spoiler-Alert who, incidentally, let Gotham burn instead of stopping her Dad, and has been going downhill in 'Tec (even according to defenders of Tynion's version of Cass or writing overall). Not terribly awesome, and that's coming from someone that needed time to appreciate her becoming Batgirl.

Neat moment. Not getting my hopes up, but neat moment (not exactly new for Tynion...this time, I just missed the slog, convenience, plot holes, character idiocy, and other assorted crap up to this point).

I'm several weeks behind on Detective Comics...time to catch up... (catches up) Yup...still can't care about this title. The main Bat-Book is much more interesting these days

The main Bat-Book is much more interesting these days Yeah, I've noticed some people saying Tom King's Batman is better. But then, I've also seen some other say the reverse, that it's dull and 'Tec awesome. But all I have to go on for King is a trade of "The Omega Men" that my brother strongly suggested I read last year. It was decent, even if it had a few elements that I thought didn't make sense. And apparently, King is heading up a story later this year focusing on the mental health of superheroes, and a mysterious death.

Will it be called Watchmen or Identity Crisis?

It's being called "Heroes in Crisis." But yeah, now that you mention it, there is something rather familiar about the premise.
